Bake and serve in this covered baker, or simply use to serve food that you want to keep warm throughout a meal. The piece would also serve well as a storage canister. Wheel thrown in a speckle stoneware clay, the textured handles were added while leather hard. After the bisque firing, both pieces were glazed in overlapping straw and temmoku. The speckle in the clay shows through the straw and there are interesting blue/gray tones where the two glazes combined. Both glazes are lead free and food safe. Both pieces are dishwasher safe. The casserole is oven safe, but for longest life, it should be placed in a cold oven and heated slowly. Dimensions- 6" wide x 5" high, with lid on. Capacity 2 1/2 cups (22 ounces).
