Greatest Hits-40 Original Recordings

Loved the music, was disappointed in the track not in order with the list of songs available. the music jumped from tract 11 to 21 back to 4 etc, could not completely listen to the whole cd.

This collection is a must for all those Frankie Laine fans. Remember this: these are the original recordings and not the re-recorded or reissue versions. Although all of these songs are great, not all 40 made the Top Ten or Top Twenty Hit List. Remember, Tex Ritter made the original version of the song, "Do not Forsake Me, Oh My Darling" from the movie "High Noon" but it was Frankie Laine's verson that became an even greater hit. There are other CD albums out there (go to Amazon.com) that include his original hits, but this CD collection is affordable at a great price!

This is a great Frankie Laine collection. The sound quality is terrific, too. It's nice to listen to these gems without the remembered phonograph shortcomings included. A definite 5 stars for this 2 CD set.

Oh Frankie ... how you take me back. This album has songs that I remembered the words to ... even after fifty years.

This was purchased as a gift for an "old timer" and she LOVES it. His recordings are very enjoyable. A+

Came in time. Not in a CD case only card if it makes a difference to you but was well sealed

Music is a personal thing and so obviously down ti individual taste, I am nearing 79 years of age and socan remember this singer well, in fact I had some of these tracks on 78s,I enjoyed all the songs but prefer cd1, the second is good but for me the move to "big band" era is a littlenoisy. The younger generation may not like this I feel but I may be wrong.

Frankie fans will love this CD - all the old favouritesGo on treat yourselves my favourites are HIGH NOON - JEZEBEL - JEALOUSY and A WOMAN IN LOVE , (RAWHIDE) I find with the Blues Brothers and sort of love it there - wrong really as it should be the original.Easy Listening Cowboy songs if you like Westerns you'll love these songs. GO ON HAVE A LISTEN !

I had hoped to Te Amo on this CD but was disapointed when it was missing. Am still trying to buy a CD with this song on it. Unfortunately there was no list that I could check pon the songs before I bought it. Hestill remains one of my favourite singers.

one of the records on this cd was no 1 on the day I was born in 1949 that is why I bought it and its brilliant., I like all the CD is refreshing to hear them sort of music instead off the new stuff.
