Works great
I can say this was a good product and I don’t really have complaints about it

Quality, sturdy product.
I have been looking for a replacement and finally found this ear pick which has exceded my expectations. Right away I noticed the weight was substantial and the product is sturdy. The end that fits in your ear is nice and smooth and round so you don't have to worry about irritation.

Size
This could be a perfect product, if the curette was a bit small. Because of the size it is hard to manipulate in the ear without pain from the width.

More hygienic than a q-tip!
Easy to use. Easy to clean. Seems to do the job.

Sharp edges
The edges of this medical instrument are so sharp that I hurt my inside so that it started bleeding. That is not really acceptable but I didn't want to have the troble with returning this thing.

Love this tool.
Easy to get wax out of hubby's ears so his hearing aids work better.

Too thick for safe use
Product is too thick for the ear canal. As someone in the medical field and has cleaned ears of others multiple times, you really need a thin loop to not run the risk of compacting the wax in the ear when using one of these. The edges of this product are TOO THICK and will likely compress more wax than what is being removed .

Shaped like a tiny tennis racket. Edges of "business end" are sharp, use with care
Unlike some competitors where the loop seems to have been made from round wire, this tool's loop is formed from flat steel with 90-degree edges. Ouch! The outer edges of the loop, at the sides, have indeed been smoothed like the manufacturer claims for a nice round feel.At the top end, which is the leading edge as you guide it into your ear, the steel edges both front and back are sharp, they have not been smoothed at all.You can feel the sharpness running a finger across the surface. And of course you definitely feel it in your ear. I have just used it once, very very carefully, and figured I ought to tell others about this. Hopefully it's just one defective item that I have received?I am going to keep it, and try to smooth the sharp edges with some sort of metal file. This should have been done at the factory. But if I succeed in rounding the edges, it will be a fine tool that should last forever. The handle feels good in the hand, you can control it well due to the rectangular handle. I can see where a cylindrical handle would make a tool like this hard to control. It would get 5 stars and a glowing review if not for those razor sharp edges
