Nice budget choice
I'm actually really pleased with this crimp tool. I had ordered a Trendnet tool in the past when first starting my networking classes at a community college to practice putting jacks on ethernet cables. This one, unlike my trendnet tool, seems to get it right the first time each time I've done it. It's got a nice click noise when crimping and it feels tight without near as much effort as my older tool. The punch down tool may not be the greatest but it does a real good job at stripping cable in my experience. I'd say if you're looking for a real affordable tool to practice or just keep around your home this is a solid choice.

It was OK but seemed to be a little flimsey.

Winner winner new cables in an instant
I was afraid of cutting my dead cables and using this but it takes seconds to make it happen and once you do, you feel like you've taken it to the man and saved big bucks. Do yourself a favor, get one of these, find a site that shows the order of the wee wires and fix your old cables like a champ. Your level of manhood jumps up 3x and all your friends think you're king of network cables. Any trained chimp can do this and this tool makes stupid people look like geniuses.
