Did a good job of reflecting light back down onto the kitchen table below. Table top was previously dimly lit. Half of the light from the upward-facing light-fixture bulbs was illuminating the ceiling.

A bit pricy for a piece of round plastic, but I am happy with the results. It replaced a heavy, bulky glass globe that was a nightmare to remove in order to change the bulbs. If it lasts, I will upgrade the value for money to 5 stars.

The shade I had was broken. I needed a shade that had a hole in the center for the pull chain. Not as easy to find as you would think. I found a glass shade but it was so heavy it was pulling the lighting mount off the fan. I found this diffuser which works perfectly. The center hole was 3/8 but I drilled the hole to 1/2 inch. The disc is heavy plastic and comes lined with paper on both sides. I drilled the hole and peeled the paper. No damage to the the disc with drilling.

Can't complain, good quality product, good service, but a little pricy!

Used hairdryer to loosen film around “small hole in middle”. After about a minute of heat- was Ez to loosen with finger nail. Once started- the entire film peeled off.

The Kastlite diffusers we ordered for our table lamps worked very well. Our lamps sit lower on end tables by our couch. However, as we walked by them, the light bulb was bright and annoying to our eyes . The diffusers took care of that problem beautifully! Well packaged product, yes, a little pricey, but worth it. Measurements are important. Verify the diameter twice to be sure you order the right size, and most importantly, confirm the "correct thickness" of the diffuser itself. Make sure the center hole thickness will accommodate the screw that holds your lamp shade on the lamp. You need enough threads showing to to accommodate both the lampshade and diffuser on the same screw. We needed to order the 1/8 inch thickness and not a thicker one due to our shorter screw length on our lamps.

Got drum-style, flush ceiling lights and too late to return after discovered a couple of glass diffusers were broken These diffusers worked perfectly for 14" opening. For my lights, hole a little small but carefully reamed to make a smidge bigger by using screw-rod that suspends the diffuser (reamed a little from each side.) No cracking. Using LED bulbs and light is much softer with these diffusers than through original glass - so looks different side by side . But not an issue for me. One side of diffuser is polished and shiny, the other is not. It is not flexible, which suits my purpose. Very sturdy, nice thickness. Super-happy. Not a huge fan of plastic but this is a great repair, looks better, and is safer for bulb replacement. Great quality, made in the U.S.!
