ordered this hose early spring, and waited to add this review until i had some experience with it. so, here goes: the first hose i received had "elbows" which prevented the water flow going through right, and hose would collapse when you tried to spray anything. contacted seller, who advised i return it as defective. did so, waited for my replacement, and since used the replacement 12-20 times. now the hose has a blowout and leaks everywhere, unusable. past the return time, of course. wasted money unless seller is willing to do the right thing & refund. sad because in the limited use i got, it was nice to use - light and very easy to hook up and move as needed without wrestling a big rubber hose. very disappointed.UPDATE 6/18/16: I also responded to the seller re: the second failure, and he has offered a replacement. I'm going to up my rating from 2 to 3 stars, mainly for the outstanding service I receive from this vendor. Hopefully the next replacement will last.UPDATE: 7/30/17: The replacement hose was used a few times last summer, stored through til spring (indoors), used a couple times & left in garage. Got it out today to wash the car and it failed completely. Total disconnect/blowout of the liner. Trash. I'd say expect the hose to provide MAYBE 6 months of use, and perhaps less if you put it to service more than three-five times a month.

I never write reviews, but am compelled to write one here. I had heard that expanding hoses sometimes had issues, and made a concerted effort to find the best quality one. I thought I had done so here, as I researched tons of options on Amazon. Also, I knew you can't necessarily treat these hoses like a normal garden hose and toss them around or drag them across pavement. So I babied this hose. And yet, this week, a little over a month after purchasing, it springs a leak right beneath the fitting to the handle. This is also the part that definitely wouldn't have been dragged over rocks or anything, so it can only be chalked up to poor manufacturing.And now, it is outside of the return period.If you are looking for a good expanding hose, look elsewhere.

Our home is in the country. Since we have a very large yard & many gardens, it seems we never have enough hoses. Traditional rubber hoses in longer lengths, e.g. 75' or 100', though of good quality, are quite heavy for us ol' folks and a pain to tote around. Good quality hose carts aren't cheap. For long-reach watering needs, we have found the expandable hose to be just the answer. Tony, from Detroit Tool and Supply, sells a top-quality expandable hose at a fair price.

So far the hose is great: light enough so I can carry it around, strong enough to hold up so far. I would have given it five stars but am holding out to see how long lived it is. I'll come back and give it the five stars if it lasts the summer in what promises to be a very hot, dry Missouri summer.

I was really hoping after paying this much for this hose it would last......not so. I bought it on June 13 and in less than 3 months it busted. It was always turned off and emptied of water and stored in a container on my porch, not in sunlight. I did everything the instructions said and got less than 3 months use. The hose was used on the average of 1 to 2 times a week to water plants. I wish I could find a hose that didn't bust. I really like the concept of the expandable hose but just can't find one that lasts.

Don't spend you money on this product.I had 1 go bad within the first month.Contacted customer service - got a replacement but the replacement failed the same way.The expandable hose is glued onto the brass outlet but the hose came off in both cases.The connection between the brass outlet and the expandable hose is very poor.

Great concept but it doesn't work. The hose blown up in less than 4 days. We had the same ending with the similar products with 2 other brands.( 50' & 75') STAY AWAY...

it broke. save your time and money. until they use a thicker rubber hose in the center, this isn;t worth it. my hose burst within 2 days after using it.
