I followed another reviewer's advice, and cut out each piece, and then taped them to the wall. This helped with placement and making sure everything was just how I wanted it before removing the backing to attach. With the extra steps, it probably took an hour or two. However, I was also doing other things at the same time, so I wasn't 100% focused on the project 100% of the time. I had no problems with the decal staying up, but I have untextured walls that had been cleaned. I highly doubt this would stick to any type of textured wall. I also didn't have any inconsistency in hue color as some others reported. There are seams in the decal, but if you are methodical about putting it together, those seams really aren't visible. I'm really happy with the product.

I ordered the wall decal of the world map and its stunningly beautiful. I ordered it for my workplace to boost morale. We are a small tech start up, and we have some worldwide sales going on, but we aren't sure whether everyone is on par with the sales which were done. So the motive was to install this world map in the break room/common room, and pin the sales wins on the map. And for now, its been looking great. The installation itself was very easy, and I did it single handedly without errors. The best thing about it is it comes of and can be repasted on the wall in case of an error. I got no bubbles at all.

Don't waste you time with this one. It looks great on the pictures online, but reality is different. The pieces of the first map I got had different colors. It was very obvious, especially the North American continent and Asia. We put up the map at night so we didn't see it at first and we were very happy with the result. Then in the morning we saw what it really looked like. I contacted the seller who told me that the printer, on rare occasions, does a bad printing job and he sent me a new one. We left the old one up for another couple of weeks because we got busy, and it started falling off the wall. Once it started peeling off I tore it down. I applied the new map in a different location of the house with no texture at all (thinking it was my wall that made it fall down). But I had the same problems again. The map was discolored and after a few weeks it started falling off. But the continents also separated and white lines appeared between the sticker pieces. I finally contacted Amazon and they will give me a refund.

So, from 8 or more feet away, the decal looks awesome! The problem that I have is that, the decals are cut in... weird places. If they were cut between continents, or in places that the seams would be difficult to see, I'd be giving a 5 star review right now. When we put the decal up, we had the seams lined up PERFECTLY and it looked awesome. But, after only a day, the decal "settled" and now there is a very slight gap between the pieces. From 6 feet away, you can't even notice it. However, up close, it is very noticeable. To be fair, I disagree with most of the negative reviews on here. If applied correctly, it will NOT fall off of the wall. And, it only took my wife and I about 45 minutes to hang, versus the 4-5 hours that some people are claiming. For the price, the decal is EXCELLENT and I would recommended it to anybody as long as they are aware of the weird gaps.

This product is not to be put up in a hurry. It takes time and patience, but the instructions on how to piece it together are clear. Ours has been up for a month, and it stays very well. Occasionally, a piece will bubble up, but it just has to be rubbed down. The piece with China is slightly off color from the rest, but overall it looks great.

Followed the directions accordingly. Sticker comes undone from time to time, have to press on it to get it to stick again. Could be the heat felt in the house(?). The stickers also did not line up correctly, no matter how I did it. Specifically the Russia and Africa sticker. I could not get it to line up with the other sides. One side lined up, but then looked really skewed on the others. Maybe I got a bad cut. Either way, you can tell where these stickers did not line up. I hope this lasts a while. Have had it up and it seems to be shrinking (again it gets hot in my house), so perhaps it does not fare well in warm environments. Have had it up for about 1 month now, and it does not look like the picture 100% (a 90% match to the picture), mainly because of the ill fitting continents. Really love the actual map and the color. It is huge and looks great. The color is just like the in the picture. It is missing the Hawaiian Islands. Simple enough to put up. Easy to follow directions. Great little project. Just a little disappointed.

Loved it!! A little difficult for onli one person to install it..could not close all the gaps..but it is possible. It looks awesome! It started to come off my textured wall but I fixed with an ATM card and it has not been a problem anymore!!!

I wanted a world map to decorate my home office and came across this beautiful wall decal. It was a bit challenging to put it up by myself, but after finishing, it was worthy every drop of sweat. I love how it looks!! It is easy to install, but I recommend to have someone helping you hold one end on the big pieces.

Very hard to install. The mid-film is either too sticky or not enough. Many islands get lost during the installation. Nothing to help respect the scale. Don't deserve no star at all...
