This is a great book for asking a young child to be your ring bearer, however nearly every page has a reference to the boys dad. Consider a different book if the dad of the child you are asking is not in the picture, as it could cause issues the caretaker does not want to discuss.

Cute book and we used it as a gift to ask our ring bearers to be in my daughter’s wedding .It was a tad outdated and not all ring bearers wear suits. Overall the boys liked the book.

Sent to California grandson in order to get him ready for his role in his uncle's wedding in Atlanta. Worked as planned! Kept the pillow back until rehearsal, Little James was excited about the pillow and clearly understood what he was expected to do. Slept with pillow that night and walked up the aisle with no problem. Used fake rings on pillow for ceremony.

I bought this book for my 3 year old nephew, and it's mate "Most Special Flower Girl" for his twin sister, who will be the ring bearer & flower girl at their uncle and I's wedding this spring. I just so happen to be Auntie Sarah, just like the bride in the story, which he picked up on right away when I read it to him the first time, "Ma tante ma tante you're in the story!". According to their mother and my future mother in law, these stories have been required reading every night at bedtime since they received them before Christmas, with all of the names in the stories changed to suit our family course. Luckily for the readers, these stories aren't cheesy or overly simplified like some children's books, they are actually quite informative and pleasant to read. I would highly recommend this book and the flower girl book to any bride looking for a keepsake that will be both fun and instructive for their littlest attendants!

I bought this for our nephew. I'm going to give it to him with his ring bearer proposal. He's 5 and never been in a wedding so this book is super cute and a great way to get him prepared for the big day! Mom & dad can read it to him and they can talk about a ring bearer so he's not nervous. If you have a ring bearer who hasn't ever been in a wedding and is younger I highly recommend! I would say this book is for ages 10 and younger also.

Book was perfect for what I needed it for. It introduced my little 2.5 yr old ring bearer to what a wedding was, as well as his role in the wedding. Our ring bearer was amazing too. He did SUCH a good job! Most kids aim to do a "good job!", and they can do it a lot better if they know what is expected of them. This book helped our ring bearer understand what to expect in a wedding, as well as what was expected of him. The pictures were quite helpful, better than other ring bearer books that I bought. Some others just had pictures of really random things placed in a circle around the text. This book had much better pictures. For example, it had pictures of a boy trying on a tux, carrying a pillow down the aisle, and eating cake at the reception. I would suggest buying it if you need help explaining to a little boy what a wedding is/what a ring bearer does, or even just want to give a nice gift to your ring bearer.
