I have had these cedar balls in operation now for 3 months and I absolutely attest that they still smell great, because THEY ARE REAL. No more ugh to moth balls! Moth balls make me nose-gag (did you know there is such a thing?) In the "olden days" of my youth moth balls were all we had to combat moths and silverfish which live it seems to get into human's linens, knits, winter coats and the like. I hate seeing holes in clothes, silverfish scurrying and moths like tiny little white bats fluttering in or out of my closets. Cedar and lavender are the natural alternative to stinky moth balls, and they are what I use, I guess in abundance because I have 24 small sachets around in drawers, storage boxes and storage cabinets. These cedar balls are tiny enough to add one or 2 to a 2" x 4" sachet, or make a sachet entirely of cedar balls as I did for the most susceptible woolens. Sachets are so easy: buy these cedar balls, and lavender flowers by the small, medium or large bagful, and search on sachet pockets - they come with ties, It is quite restful to smell the cedar and lavender as you sit filling the bags and watching your favorite show.

Cedar repels moths due to its smell. Cedar needs to be sandpapered in order to refresh the smell. The product is in the shape of balls. It is difficult to sandpaper balls (I tried), and easy to sandpaper flat disks which are sold by other companies. Disks have holes where they can be placed on the hook of a hanger, and can be spread out easily in the closet. You get three bags to hold the balls, so they are meant to be collected in just three places.

These are a nice mellow cedar scent. Sometimes other cedar products seem over powering. They're a little smaller than a golf ball. This spring, we put a couple of these in a little bag, with some whole walnuts (walnuts repel spiders) around the closets. The closets smell fresh and are pest free

These are smaller then i imagined they would be they are about the size of a quarter if that. They smell strong they seem to be working good no moths to be seen since i added them to my drawers.

Received the produce and found the scent very good, almost like fresh cut wood.

If you're looking for the smell of Cedar from this product, good luck. It has no smell whatsoever.

I doubt they will work.

They smell strong and pleasingly fragrant. Very happy with my purchase.
