Cabin By The Sea

The Dirty Heads are incredible, but this album has 2 songs that skip pretty badly. If one of the songs wasn't Cabin by the Sea, I would give at least 4 stars.

great album. mellow. my 70 year old father even liked it which surprised me. but the b side skips a little. must have been pressed goofy cause I got two of them. first one replaced cause of skipping, 2nd one skipped in exact same place(s). but I can deal with it. not the worst thing to happen.

As the title says I have no words to describe how perfect this album. When I listen to it I don't think wow this is really good or something like that. When I listen to it I just get a feeling. This album just gives the listener such a high no drug could ever hope to give. It just makes you feel that "every little thing is gonna be alright." As I'm typing this I'm listening to the track Day by Day and I just can't stop smiling. Every track you can just feel the energy and passion from it. Some tracks are just so atmospheric and beautiful you just want to close your eyes and listen. Other tracks are far more upbeat but just as beautiful and you can't help but to start moving to it. For me this is the greatest album in almost 16yrs. I've liked the Dirty Heads since I first listened to them back in '08, but Cabin by the Sea made me fall in love with them. This record totally blew my expectations out of the water.This album is just 49min and 52sec of pure ecstasy and happiness.

I love the Dirty Heads and all of their music. The sound and quality of the music is great, no issues there. The issue I do have is with the pressing and the inner sleeve. The pressing seems off in the sense that the two sides were not pressed together correctly and the inner sleeve is not the best quality. Other than that it’s worth a buy if you’re a fan.

Amazing album from a great band that continues to evolve & grow up on their second major label release. Rap songs, love songs, pop songs, reggae songs...it's all here, and better than ever. DH took the winning, collaborative formula that kept "Lay Me Down" at #1 & improved on it with stellar guest contributions from Rome Ramirez, Matisyahu, Ky-Mani Marley & Del tha Funky Homosapien. The band also expanded their sound with the great addition of horns, trumpets and more. Some will label this as a "Summer Album", music for hippies, so forth & so on, but if you like good music that will make you move, buy this album!

While I really liked their first album, this is their best vinyl release imo. Every time I listen to it I can't help but picture myself on a beach somewhere warm. My only wish is that it had the bonus track from the digital version, since it's one of my favourites from the album, but it's still packed with great songs - so much that there is hardly any dead wax on the vinyl. Great for any Dirty Heads fan.

Mit ihrem ersten Album haben The Dirty Heads bereits ein gutes Stück an Hip-Hop gemixt mit Reggae und Rap, zum Teil aber auch mit Pop und Rock, abgeliefert. Der Bunte Mix macht die Band aus, wobei der Schwerpunkt ganz klar auf einem entspannenden Mix von den beiden zuerst genannten Genres liegt. Diese Vermischung klappt auch auf dem zweiten Album sehr gut. Man merkt, dass die Band sich erneut Mühe gegeben hat und auch etwas an ihrer Technik gefeilt hat. Zusammen mit den ganzen Features wird daraus ein solides Album, das einen wunderbar durch den Sommer bringt. Wer bereits die Dirty Heads mag, wird mit diesem Album nicht enttäuscht und sollte es sich auf jeden Fall zulegen. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Ich bin ein riesen Fan von The Dirty Heads! Daher brauchte ich die Platte einfach. Als sie da war gleich reingehört und es lief alles super...Bis zum Track "Hipster", dann in der zweiten Hälfte des Liedes war die Platte einfach zu Ende! Das geht je mal gar nicht. Platte umgedreht, da ging es dann mit dem nächsten Lied weiter. Zum Glück lief auf der zweiten Seite dann alles gut.Sehr Schade, das die Verarbeitung der Platte da nur so mittelmäßig ist :(
