Q: is this one hydrating

I don't believe that is the purpose of the product. However, it is a primer for make-up and is not thick and/or pasty but light.

Q: How is this for mature skin?

I am 54 years old--so definitely in the 'mature' category. I find this primer does a good job of filling the lines/wrinkles, preventing the foundation I use from settling into the creases as much. It remains light on the skin, however. It never feels sticky or greasy.

Q: Can this be used as eye shadow primer as well?

Hello, thanks for your question! The product you are inquiring about is a great face primer, however we recommend using a separate product that is specifically made for priming for eyeshadow. Check out our Eye Primer that is made just for priming eyes!
