MACKIE CR3-X Studio Monitors - Limited Edition Silver (Pair)

Really crisp quality and great finish. The little illuminated logo is a nice touch. The sound is deep, well balanced, sub can be a bit too much but my mixer takes care of it.

Nice speakers..I use them for my home recording studio and they do the job! Only downside is there seems to be a low hissing sound but they are definitely worth the price!!

I sent these back due to the awful feedback/buzzing when using them. I should have listened to the other reviews but I gave them the benefit of the doubt but it was atrocious.The sound quality besides that was actually good but it was so distracting. Very disappointing as they look so good too.

They come with an always connected power cable, a split stereo RCA to 3.5mm jack cable, a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable, and a tinned cable for connecting the active and passive speaker.Aesthetically the speakers are great, they are visually unintrusive and the active speaker has a nice white LED ring as a power indicator.The audio quality of them also seems good, I've tried it with the 3.5mm to RCA cable. HOWEVER, when on, independant of volume level, there is a constant (and constant volume) hissing sound present. This is the case even with no audio cables connected and the power lead isolated from other EMF sources, indicating it is a noise caused by something in the speaker itself. This hissing also seems to be worse with the RCA cables connected indicating just poor electrical noise management/suseptability to EMF. All of this said, I am no audio expert so the speculation is just that.I am not sure if this is just a defect of this unit or present on all of them but I would not recommend them unless you abosolutely need these, then be prepared to turn them off when not in use (easy with the volume/power dial which turns the speakers off when rotated all the way to the left)

Awesome sound quality using these with pioneer ddj 400 and the sound is excellent no distortion

From the moment it was switched on (even without any devices plugged into it) the monitors emitted a loud white noise, as well as a slightly quieter squeak noise that increased in frequency until it settled at around the same pitch as a football whistle. Very annoying, not only is this product unsuitable for use as studio monitors, but I wouldn't feel comfortable in the same room as it when it's switched on, even without any music playing.I can't speak about other aspects of the audio quality because the noise was so overwhelming.
