Fail
HeartBud, we downloaded the app, either the one we received is defective or this device picks up every noise as two family members tried this out, with one it did nothing, flatlined, and the other person it was going nuts picking up voice, movement, even if hold it still the chart is all over the place and you can tell it is not picking up just heart sound. Maybe breathing effects it too, I don't know, but not impressed, not accurate.

Interesting gadget! App for i-phone but alternatives available for droids!
Despite not having access to it's intended phone-app, this product works okay!I've always been oddly fascinated by heartbeats, and thought this would be a neat gadget to play around with, using my phone. To that end it seems to work alright! The device looks pretty much like a stethoscope-head, but it doesn't seem like it's all that powerful on it's own, and requires an app with sound amplification to make a decent recording, and seems to only have good results in certain locations, mostly the apex. If you intended to do a full tour, it might not be right choice.I can't speak to the App developed by HeartBuds LLC as it's for i-Phone only, and I do not own an one. Fortunately, and surprisingly, it seems to work okay with audio recording apps available for my Droid Turbo. The one that worked best for me is an auscultation app, that amplifies recorded sound. Fiddling with the filters, and keeping the device on my apex, yielded decent results.I don't know if this product will have a better or worse time with different body types or genders, but I imagine the application would be about the same.TL/DR: It works okay, but requires an app to get a good recording. Intended app is i-Phone only, but you may make use of other apps to the same effect.

I am a 38 year RN, BSN and enjoying this product on the cutting edge of what is to come in the future. The same artifact is seen in an EKG when a person moves. I am able to monitor myself and so far, accurate when checked with my stethoscope.

I wanted to like it
The code from back of package said invalid when i tried to enter it. So i proceeded without a code and dont know if that made a difference. Note also looks like it was packed and repacked several times with scotch tape and torn cardboard so was sort of icky to try. It does NOT come with any sanittary shields. I was hoping to send recorded waves to others but was just not sure i was getting an accurate heartbeat especially when i seemed to get the same wave whether placed on heart or far distant stomach. And was hard to not have results interrupted often with artifacts - how would someone on receiving end intrepret that? Also tried it to measure blood pressure but could not pick up anything from arm. Maybe this needs a learning curve or you tube video or packaged with software thar finds a sensible part of the recording and analyzes; under circumstances i dont want to try it further now Such a good idea but i don't find it ready.

This product is -ok! Yes you can hear the heart but you can hear everything else with it. So unless you are very quiet you will pick up background noise. No worth $50?to me.

When ordered, a link to download app was promised. Be careful, it's misleading, this product has support for iPhone ONLY. You might be able to conjure up some other audio app for an Android, but it's "NOT supported" ! If you are ordering it for an Android, you are on your own.

Works!
Works well! I'm a physician and have used this clinically. Sounds great. Wish it would play on the phone speakers. Have to plug in headphones right now to hear anything. But overall pleased with the device.
