NOW Foods D-Mannose Powder 3 oz

I have suffered from chronic UTI's since i was 2 years old... yes... 2 years old!!!! I had a seziure at that age caused by a high feaver from a urinary tract infection that progressed to my kidneys. Scared the heck out of my poor mom. I had to have surgery. Fast forward a few years and I kept having UTIs, not a ton but still some, fast forward to elementry school and they came in full force, middle school and highschool ... and college. I was having a UTI... EVERY ... SINGLE... MONTH!!!! I was missing so much school from being in crippling pain, i could hardly walk. My life was miserable. I had a specialized urologist (urinary doctor) who kept giving me different types of UTI meds that made me nauseous all the time, then i had to take yeast infection meds because it caused yeast infections. Also, the UTI always came back in full force. She put me on a low dose of daily antibiotics hoping that would help, it helped a little but they still came back and the meds made me get yeast infections I tried changing my diet, it helped a little with bladder pain, but not as much as i hoped. D-MANNOSE CHANGED MY LIFE, no joke. If you suffer from UTIs you will find great relief from this super sugar. Ive been using this for 8 years or so and if you have a UTI itll clear up in a day!! I was shocked the first time i took it, even medications dont work that fast!!! I actually taught my frustrated urologist about dmannose. She had so many patients she wanted to help who were at their wits end. She saw it worked so well for me, so she started recommending it to her patients with great success! Normally ecoil (#1 bacteria that causes UTIs) attaches to the urinary tract and hooks on real tight. Water cant flush it out since it has a good grip on your urinary tract. This is where dmannose comes in, it loosens the grip of the bacteria and it attaches to the dmannose. Now the ecoli is free flowing and can be easily flushed out. Thats how this simple sugar works. D-Mannose is a monosaccharide, a simple sugar but unlike glucose your body absorbs D-Mannose eight times slower. Because it is hard for our bodies to absorb D-Mannose, it passes straight to the blood stream, then through the kidneys into the bladder. Your body does not metabolize D-Mannose like other sugars, and that’s why D-Mannose powder does not affect the blood sugar levels, and therefore is safe for the diabetics and does not cause weight gain. D-Mannose does not kill the bacteria and therefore does not increase it’s resistance. It just flushes it out. Dont waste your money with the pill form as this powder tastes like nothing (just a little sweet) and just stirs easy into water. You dont notice it at all. Take some if you feel a urinary Tract infection coming on, itll stop it right in its tract!!! ;) Better than antibiotics from my experience!! Try it out yourself!

This works and I’m so grateful. I scoured the reviews for how to use it, lots of advice there. This stuff should be in everyone’s medicine drawer! And it’s natural, no side effects. Can’t believe my urologist didn’t mention this. But for sure I’ll be telling him about it!

I have a female cat who has a history of getting urinary tract infections. It seemed like I was taking her to the vet every couple of months to get put on a course of antibiotics. She would be okay for a while, and then she would leave me a pleasant surprise of peeing blood in the bathtub. I felt terrible. After doing an xray and ultrasounds, and after the fourth visit to the vet for peeing blood, I was told she had a bladder stone and she should undergo surgery. The surgery was quoted for me at $6,000. Like most people, I could not afford that. The vet gave me some antibiotics and wished me well, and basically told me that my cat would either have to have the surgery or be put down. I started looking up some holistic remedies. First off, I completely stopped giving her dry food. I switched her to a grain free food (I use Purina Beyond Natural wet cat food, but there are many other grain free wet foods out there. This happened to be the best deal I could find) and started looking into any vitamins or supplements that might help her issues. I stumbled upon an article about D-Mannose Powder. It helps people with urinary issues, but cats can also take it. I started mixing about a half a teaspoon into my cat's wet food, along with a tiny bit of water. She ate it without seeming to notice there is something else in there, and she's a pretty picky cat. I have been giving this to my cat twice a day, with her wet food breakfast and wet food lunch. Since taking this, she has not had any further issues. She has been taking this product for about two months now. I am no longer stuck in a cycle of my poor cat going to the vet, having her urine tested, getting ultrasounds, and having an antibiotic shoved down her throat twice a day for two weeks. She has not had an issue with peeing blood, and she is back to her cuddly, happy self. She is playing, and running, which she wasn't doing before (my vet explained she was probably in pain from the bladder stone). I believe that D-Mannose powder caused my cat's bladder stone to dissolve. This is a natural substance and she has suffered no ill effects since taking this. I will continue to mix this into my cat's grain free wet food for as long as I have her with me. I believe kicking the dry food helped as well. In order to keep her teeth healthy, I give her a few Urinary Health cat treats (by Get Naked) at night. Her food routine is more expensive than it used to be, but MUCH less expensive than the bi-monthly vet visits I was having to go to with her. My happy cat is back...thank you, Now Foods D-Mannose Powder. I hope everyone who has cats with urinary or bladder issues tries changing their cat's diets and also incorporating this natural substance. It has changed my cat's life.
