These are nice casters. They are larger then I was expecting, but exactly pictured in the diagram. They are quiet and soft enough to not go "clack clack clack" over every bump or threshold like PVC or phenolic wheels do. The lock locks both the wheel and swivel, which is important if you need something to not move around at all. They don't mess up your floors either. They have decent traction on nearly every surface which helps if you need to set the brake on a ramp. They roll silently over everything, from tile to carpet. Very well made.One reviewer mentioned the wheels not being perfectly true (round) and mine weren't either. Mine are off by less than 1mm, and it may actually be a good thing. A perfectly round wheel on perfect bearings isn't ideal for equipment that ever needs to stop rolling, even briefly, without the brake. A dolly that constantly rolls away on you until it hits a wall isn't fun. A slight variation like these casters have isn't noticeable, except that it allows the dolly to stop where you position it, instead of rolling away on level ground. When wheels are too not round, you have a vibration problem or one wheel will start to get stuck. I havent had any vibration or stuck wheels on this caster. Being made out of polyurethane rubber, this caster will have a slight give under load, which will tend to compensate for the less than 1mm of variability. If this were a hard caster, being perfectly round is much more important. The wheels are replaceable if you ever wanted to swap them out.Home Depot sells a near identical caster individually for about $30 each, 4x the price on Amazon. These are an amazing value and worth every penny and more.

We put a new wood stove in the back corner of the house from where we have a wood rack on the front porch. I had been carrying bags of wood, but the length of the bag's handles mad it awkward to carry such a long distance. I shopped for casters and found these to be very reasonably priced and way more heavy duty than I will need them for, but I wanted the extra height of the 5" casters. These are great. I couldn't be more satisfied. They came with two sets of hardware, one for bolting the casters on (the ones I used with an old piece of plywood) and one for screwing into extra thick frames for a cart. They roll smoothly, swivel easily and lock in place nicely when I park the cart next to the wood stove. The extra height also makes loading into the wood stove easier than what we were doing loading from the bag that was set on the floor. I am very pleased.

Well made and are smooth rolling

These wheels are big and heavy but they do wobble a bit. They look really sturdy with heavy metal and come with nuts, bolts washers and screws. As the wheels are very large they also have strong brakes on them. I could easily press the brakes on but to get them off you need to apply more force or tap them with a small mallet or something to release. They will be a good set for some applications.I wanted this for a one inch thick wood base I have built for my Donsonian telescope. After getting my washers and the appropriate screws for the teak wood base, I installed them. However there is a small problem, after locking all the wheels I still notice a wobble. For a telescope to function well, there should be no movement in any axis once the wheels are locked. You can hear and see the wobble that is caused by the give in the wheel assembly at the double bearing junction, but it gets reduced quite a bit with weight on the base.Not ideal for telescope bases maybe, but will be good for many applications. The brakes are heavy duty.

We used these for rolling storage in the garage. We were looking for strong wheels that didn’t bring up the height of the workbench storage. They work great and can easily move heavy storage with just one person.

Works! Good construction

The bad-ish first:1. The wheels aren’t true, they’re slightly larger in some areas and aren’t perfectly round.2. They’re a very stiff plastic, I wish they were a bit softer like a skateboard wheel.3. They do wobble under my carts, but not enough to give me problems. Just annoying.I was debating with giving a 5 star, but frankly I love these things regardless of my issues, especially for the price. These things are awesome.I made 3 carts for my DJ business because my furniture carts were garbage. These wheels roll SUPER easy, even over any threshold I’ve dealt with, as well as my trailer ramp.They’re easy enough to roll and steer that I can push two carts at the same time in a row, like a mini-train of sorts. Saves me a whole trip.The locks are a bit stiff, but manageable. They give you a good sense that they’re locked well. I also REALLY appreciate that it also locks the swivel. That means these things won’t budge in my enclosed trailer, no matter how Hazzard I go.Honestly for the price, these rock. They’re cheap enough that if they don’t last 5-10 years (which I think they will), it wouldn’t bother me to replace them.

Great casters, roll and move easily. I recommend.
