Does the converter source its power from the usb or the vcc? if from the usb and the vcc is an "output", does removing the jumper disconnect vcc (0v)?

In the case of USB power supply, when the jumper at 5V VCC 3V3 is removed, the following VCC will not have an output voltage.

Does it the drive and the module work for macbook ? because after doing research i saw that macbooks usually face problem while interacting with ftdi.

Werkt met victron

Deze gekocht als alternatief kabel voor de victron ve aansluiting. Zoals de foto laat zien werkt het dus zonder problemen. Deze is ook geïsoleerd zodat je meerderen van deze kabels kan gebruiken op een usb hub .

isolateur USB-ttl fiable et simple à utiliser sous tous OS

Quand on cherche une liaison USB-ttl fiable, ce composant a une bonne puce FTDI, avec driver compatible windows même >10, linux ubuntu, mac, et il est isolé, donc plus de pb de CEM et tension secondaire disponible. Attention, il y a plusieurs versions chez le fabricant. Ca m'a sauvé pour faire fonctionner un appareil et le PC, car sinon les deux plantaient avec un câble non isolé. Je crois que ça existe aussi chez ce fabricant en version USB-UART, les signaux UART étant inversé par rapport à ttl, mais en 3 ou 5V contrairement au RS232 en -12/+12V.
