how thick is the ruler?

Product description says .1 inch thick, probably an eighth of an inch. Pretty standard for quilting rulers but if you’re wondering if your blade will stay securely on the cut and not bump up over the ruler’s edge, it won’t. There are thinner rulers available for other purposes but this ruler is for serious fabric cutting.

Does this particular ruler have the nonslip grip

Yes. It is not the kind that will scratch fabric either, just enough to stay put well but can move it easily, too. I love this brand of ruler!!

This ruler is an absolute game-changer. It showed up earlier than expected, and I love how the markings stand out and how the texture on the back keeps it from slipping while I'm cutting. It's quickly become my favorite tool in the sewing room.
