Great trainer, terrible cycle computer
Just purchased this as my first cycle trainer. I'm very happy with the CycleOps Fluid2 trainer itself, however I can't recommend this "kit" to anyone. I thought I was getting a good deal by buying the trainer and the Joule cycle computer together, however the Joule computer is complete and utter garbage. It comes with a set of instructions, which are really just diagrams of the different dashboard screens. The instructions do not say how to turn on device. After much frustration, I realized that the computer had shipped with a dead battery. To be safe, I replaced the coin batteries in the computer, the speed sensor, and the heart rate monitor with new batteries, which added $18 to the cost. Once I figured out how to turn on the Joule computer, I followed the instructions on how to pair it with the heart rate monitor and speed sensor. I've tried and failed to pair it multiple times. There is no indication on the screen as to whether or not the pairing was successful, however the readouts are all blank, even when I ride my bike on the trainer. I also tried downloading the PowerAgent software that comes with the Joule computer. The software is supposed to make it easy to track and download your workouts to your computer, as well as customize the display on the Joule. It does none of these things. The user interface is incomprehensible and there are no instructions whatsoever. Overall I am extremely disappointed and wish I would have bought the CycleOps Fluid2 trainer separately. The Joule cycle computer is a joke. I could have saved over $100 and several hours of frustration.

Great trainer, garbage computer. Don't waste your money on the kit.
Seller was OK. Product arrived as anticipated, but clearly the trainer had been used. It wasn't just the condition of the box. Paint on the unit itself showed some wear. The real problem, though, was with the kit which includes the PowerTap Joule 1.0 cycling computer. Total garbage. Cycleops sent me replacement sensors when the unit wouldn't detect the sensors originally shipped. They didn't work either. Instructions and online videos are absolutely useless. Customer Service was somewhat helpful but they only operate weekdays during business hours. Short of taking a vacation day from work I don't know how the average person is supposed to get their problem solved. I would recommend the trainer and this seller, but Cycleops can keep their garbage computer.
