Kelco 64:1 Ultra Silk Conditioner Gallon

Conditioner smells fragrant and leaves my mini schnauzer's fur silky smooth. I use it with Kelco's Dr Hypo Shampoo. I recommend this conditioner for it's quality and value. You can probably use this for over a year.I just wanted to write this review regarding Amazon's packaging. They're usually really good, but this jug of conditioner was shipped with a shipment with additional items resulting in less protection of the big gallon of conditioner. When it got to my house, a family member brought it in and didn't realize it was leaking all the way from the hallway into the kitchen causing a huge mess. We ended up wasting a lot of time cleaning up the trail it left. Amazon was very nice and helped me replace the jug. I was asked to return the conditioner, which would be another whole ordeal, because I don't think the representative understood how much of a mess was made and I'd have a hard time finding another way of shipping it back to them since the container it was shipped in was cracked. Anyway, word of advice to Amazon... please ship this container separately so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I learned about this conditioner from my groomer and have been using this brand for years. I bathe my small dogs once per week and this conditioner makes them Super Soft and smell SO GOOD! People always comment when they come over on how soft their hair is and how good they smell!!This conditioner is Concentrated, so you only use a small amount mixed with water, so it lasts forever. I finally ran out of my first gallon jug recently after having it last for 4+ years. No kidding!!

I showed golden retrivers growing up, then managed a dog grooming salon for five years, and still groom to this day. I buy this product by the gallon and have yet to find a conditioner I like more.The key to getting best results from this conditioner is to be sure to dilute. The dilution rate on the bottle is 64:1, so a little goes a long way. I get an empty plastic water bottle, the size of the empty bottle depends on how much coat the dog has, then dilute the conditioner with water, and saturate the dog's fur with the conditioner. Be sure to rinse this out completely. The key to a good dog bath is a good dog rinse. Most issues people have with bathing their dogs stems from not rinsing well enough. Rinse until you think the dog is completely rinsed, then rinse again.I have occasionally used this un diluted to target really tangled fur, but keep in mind, if you don't fully rinse it, the fur start to feel greasy and attract dirt, leading to more tangles.

My own pet grooming business. This has to be the most effective stuff on the market. (Kelko Silk). You have to dilute this. 1:32 at minimum. Someone else said it has no scent and that it smells like eraser. Not true! It has a really nice smell, but it's light and won't overpower any colognes you might wanna use. My other conditioners are just sitting there...

Amazing conditioner for our drop coated breed. Was having terrible trouble with mats between weekly baths, then a friend recommended this product. We leave the majority of the conditioner in his coat, rinsing only a small amount. Works wonders! His coat is silky and mat free between baths. Have recommended it to several folks since and they have all had similar results and also swear by Kelco now.

This product definitely softens the coat but the smell is not particularly interesting. It doesn’t smell like flowers or fruits or anything lovely. The closest thing I can say that it smells like is the an eraser.Update: After using this product for over 6 months consistently, I can say that I’m sadly searching for another conditioner only because I’m not a fan of the scent. The clients that I have own pets that they want to snuggle with. A long lasting, subtle and good scent is important.

The only reason for four stars is because I had to wait forever to receive this. However, this truly is the BEST conditioner I have used over the years. I have long haired breeds, pomeranian and japanese spits. This conditioner smells nice, fresh and the light smell lasts longer than the other brands I've used. Also, it doesn't feel like there's any residue afterwards but just silky and featherly feeling. I recommended this to a friend and her family loves it too.For your info, Fortunate Dog ships from Ohio.
