In the long run, it may even save you money because you don't have to buy 1000 resistors and 500 capacitors just to be sure you have what you need on hand the next time your are inspired.You should also order small sets of male/female and male/male breadboarding wires and one or two small breadboards if you don't have them already.

I have been experimenting with Arduino and electronics for 3 months now. I enjoy figuring it out. In order to do so as a newbie... i need data sheets. Information on each sensor. Example code would be nice. Alas not one ounce of info came with the kit. I emailed the company after days of trying to find contact information... no contact info either. I emailed a month and a half ago and still no response. I was even willing to pay for the info if need be

Purchased for a hackathon to be paired with a WeMo kit, this set of sensors gives you a lot of possibilities. Some of these require extra powere, and some aren't really sensors so much as controls, but over all a great selection for the price.
