It is one of the best tools to use for
I have been using this mace for about three months now and I have learned the power of the mace. It is one of the best tools to use for: shoulder mobility/strength, core strength/mobility, conditioning, grip strength and the list goes on. I started by learning the pendulum swing and advanced to the 360's. From there I picked up other movements like the barbarian squat and other flows. Now I wonder why most gyms don't have steel maces. Another big reason to pick one of these up is to prevent shoulder injury. Single arm parry cast (no sure if that is the right name) is a movement I learned with a steel club but I do the same exercise with this 10 pound mace that is great for strengthening those rotator cuff muscles. The bottom line here is to get a mace and 10 pounds is ideal to start. This mace is durable and feels great on the grip. I never feel like it will slip when I am sweaty. I own a heavier ONNIT mace and they both are awesome maces. I feel like ONNIT's stuff is generally more expensive since it is trendy right now so I would recommend these Apollo Athletic maces to anyone. If your on a budget, these maces are a deal.

Excellent Product!
I'm 53 and though not horribly out of shape, I do have some back nerve issues and typical aging wear and tear. Wanted something new this time for a workout. Saw the mace bell and was intrigued. I have started with 10lb. Videos say that is a waste but I need to get myself into a smooth movement and assure there is enough muscle building to protect against injury, particularly since I already have some tendon issues. I've worked out 4 times with this. Excellent product and I'm happy I started at 10. Gloves are a good bet! I have seen all the limited videos of 360 and 10 to 2's. For myself, I have found that I can do typical weight movements: overhead press, side raises, ect., with this mace and can be creative with what I want to do. I have started 3 wide movements, I call an Overhead strike - Mid strike - and Low strike, all based upon the battles of old. Each move requires a wide sweep, engaging core and nearly all muscles. So far seeming good. The product is very well built and stands on end. Easily concealed in a closet or behind a door. Highly recommend.

Awesome workout
I work concrete, so I already have a great baseline for dynamic strength. This was one of the best workouts I've ever done though, I purchased the 20 and 40 lbs macebells from apollo and I also purchased some 5 and 10 lbs Indian clubs. The macebells seem like they are well constructed and will last a long time, so do the clubs... I'll be buying more awesome stuff from these Gia in the future.

Seemed overall good. Not so sure how this would stand abuse as it is a pipe that has been welded to a ball. Would be much nicer and stronger if it were one piece construction. But, for the money, great value! Does 360s and 10-2s all day.

Bad Ass
Bought my first Mace, a 20lb, and use it often. Trust others when they say go lighter. I'm strong enough to use a 20lb mace for most of the beginning and intermediate workouts, but I probably should have bought a 15lb mace instead. It's an awesome workout that will destroy your forearms, especially the heavier weights. Get one and feel like a bad mamma-jamma.

Feels great....looks like I'm the 3rs owner!
I was excited to have received it so fast. Unboxed, it looked like someone had at it. The black coating on it was super chipped. Would've liked it in new condition as I take care of my equipment, but it's not that serious of an investment and I want to start putting some work in with it. So whatever. Seems solid though.

Love this
Amazing product. This gives me a workout like I have never had before. Please listen to what everyone else told me and I ignored....DO NOT GO HEAVY ON YOUR FIRST MACE! I thought I could handle 20lbs and got 15lbs to be on the safe side. I am 6' 215lbs and am decently strong and 15lbs is heavy! The mace is great beginners may need gloves as the grips can be rough on the palms.

Absolutely Excellent Mace
Having worked as a trainer for many years, I'm fairly picky about my fitness gear. Mace are new to me, but there's no exception to my harshness on my gear. The Apollo mace delivers. The welds are nicely done, and the powdercoat was smooth and black. It swings balanced, and I've got no reason to doubt it's durability. For the money and the quality, you can't go wrong!
