SEYDI HD Car DVR Dashboard Camera with Night Vision and G-Sensor

This camera has very high quality video. It is definitely one of the most crisp and clear images I've experienced with dash cams. Unlike other dash cams, at 1080P/60 FPS, it is very easy to make out the license plates of the vehicle in front of you, even while in motion.I wanted to upload a video but Amazon's compression greatly reduces the quality and it would be unrepresentative of the quality you would get with this product. Instead, I uploaded image captures directly from the video feed (not desktop screenshots). When the images are expanded to full-size, I am able to see license plate numbers as clear as day. This dash cam even comes with an HDMI output to be able to display your videos on the TV in full HD, which is awesome.Another thing that I like about this dash cam is the all black body. This helps keep it discreet, which is really what you want from a dash cam, not some chrome-trimmed attention grabber. I really like that the GPS module is conveniently located on the windshield mount! With other dash cams, I've had to connect it separately and run a second cable from the cam to my dashboard. This design is much more convenient and much cleaner, having only one cable to power both.The menus are fairly easy to navigate and there's a decent amount of customization. You can enter your license plate number or vehicle ID and choose what you want and don't want stamped on the video (Speed, Location, Date, Time, Vehicle ID & Brand Logo) individually.I also like that you can turn off the sound which allows this cam to silently start up and begin recording.Now, for the things I don't like...You are stuck with km/h, unfortunately. I wish there were a way to display mph but after reaching out to Seydi's customer support, I was told that there is no way to change this.The GPS cannot be linked to any mapping service, so it only shows coordinates and doesn't even display a compass to show the direction in which you are traveling.The button placement is not ideal. This cam has 4 buttons on top of the body and two along the left side. The button to lock a video clip is located immediately next to the button to start/stop recording. This has caused me to stop recording when I mean to lock a clip on several occasions already, since you cannot take your eyes off the road and are going by feel/memory. From left to right, the buttons on top are as follows: Menu, Power, Lock & Record. I personally would have preferred Lock, Power, Menu & Record.Finally, this camera has already frozen on me once, causing me to have to reset it.All in all, this is a great dash cam for the price and one of the best that I've owned. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking.P.S. I've included some cropped images so that you can see how clearly the license plates come out.

Since I was afraid that I drive home at night will be a little risky if I meet any emergency. I purchased. And now, I LOVE IT! This product is great, if you are looking for a camera on your car, I would definitely recommend this one. It is hard to have another one with this reasonable price and accountable quality. It is not big, that fits my little Hyundai Accent. It has a clear and good sight,no matter at day or night since it uses Ambarella A7LA70 chip. Personally, I advice utilize a Samsung Evo 32G card that will assist it to perform nicer. Hope you will enjoy it like me.

Very nice picture, however, the user's manual is printed EXTREMELY small and is almost worthless. The manual is written in Chinese, but there is an "English Translation" after it. It can be rather hard to follow. I'm learning how to use this car DVR by trial and error for the most part.

I set it up and it records for only a couple of minutes then shuts off. Can't figure out why. Very frustrating.

Love the look, mount, ease to use and good quality. Very nice and clear picture ,the maximum resolution on this is 2560X1080@30fps & 2304X1296@30fps & 1920X1080@630fps or 1920X1080@60fps.(latter being my favourite).just Ambarella A7 LA70 can use 1080P@60fps!!Great product. Well worth the price.

Great quality video very easy to see license plate numbers also has really good audio.However like some others on the review list mine also just stops recording every so often and I only get bits and pieces.Also GPS isn't great, poor speed recording... but what do you expect for the price. ..

when got hot, mounting piece melted so not ball joint is lose and do not stop camera from moving everywhere when driving.
