This is great for short hair, where you don't need product to hold hair in a certain shape, although it could with longer hair.

Holds hair with pleasent scent and a small amount needed.

Good product shine is good and hold is medium. Could be more scented.

My favorite current hairstyle is a "mini mini fauxhawk" with others being a buzz cut and a Semper Fi type cut. Unfortunately, I did a #4 buzz cut about 2 weeks ago so I won't be able to speak too much on the "hold" factor but I'll give some thoughts.For the record, my hair is STRAIGHT and has almost no body with it forming an 80s' bowl-do haircut if I don't use hair products and preferably "medium hold" or "high hold" products.The REVIEW:"The SNIFF" -- it is kind of floral meets crisp light non-musky cologne; for some reason it doesn't speak to me and I find it fairly strong; I prefer citrus scentsAPPEARANCE -- it looks like a semi-firm petroleum jelly pomade; you must emulsify it in your fingers before applyingTEXTURE -- feels like it looks; it isn't too greasy or oily like it might appear to be but it has those qualities which help give you that "high shine"; it goes on easy in the hair and there is no clumpingSHINE -- most definitely a HIGH shine which is niceHOLD -- this product would clearly do well for people that like the SLICK backed look and have some body to their hair but I do wonder with my bowl-do if I had medium-length hair if it would truly hold it back. I think the hold is likely more "LIGHT with a lean toward medium" versus truly being "medium". It doesn't appear that it would hold my "mini mini fauxhawk" in place and allow me to build the top to a point. I will try it in a couple of more weeks and if it passes I will update this review...otherwise, "it is what I think it is".VALUE -- mid-range pricing for this type of styling aid; decent valueAll in all, a pretty good product and some should like it. I am a foodie so tastes and smells are paramount to me. This smell doesn't work for me, but maybe it works for others?

OK let's get the bad part out of the way first. I've worn this product once, and I could not escape the smell all day long. I felt like I was in an old ladies' get together gagging on strong perfume the entire day. Yea, its really that bad. I have a sensitive nose, and tend to like mild smells. (I launder my clothes with a natural lavender detergent, for example.) If you're the type that prefers laundry soap and deodorant that is so strong people smell you as you walk past them in the grocery store, then this stuff is for you!. Its not just me - my wife actually walked into my office and said she could taste it in the air and literally asked me to wash my hair before I came back into the house.As a pomade it works great - basic medium hold with a bit of shine. But god, the smell is just awful.

I have thick, straight hair, so I like using hair products that will hold it in place. However, I don't like greasy or stiff looks, but like it as natural as possible. Solutions by Great Clips Men's Pomade, does just that. The pomade gives me a medium hold and high shine, so my hair looks great throughout the day. In addition, it has a soft scent, that will not interfere with the scent of my cologne. The jar comes in a 2oz size, but a little goes a long way, so it'll last for a while. The jar size will also be great for trips, since I will be able to easily fit it into my shaving kit. For these reasons, I would definitely recommend the Solutions by Great Clips Men's Pomade to anyone with straight hair like mine.

I didn't care for this product at all. It is way too sticky and heavy, and regardless of what the product description says, it will not make your hair shine. Just the opposite. It made my hair dull and flat (and, yes...sticky). I have worn spiky, textured hairstyles for years and used pomade to achieve that look. But this was a real disappointment. Just a mess. I would not recommend this.

This hair styling product is pretty easy to use even for the unskilled in trying new hair styles! The "finish" looks nice and not to wet and heavy as many products do. You don't need a ton of the product either for each use so it will definitely last!
