Krups Evidence One Bean to Cup Coffee Machine, 17 Drinks, Grey

As a customer who has used the KRUPS EA895N40 Evidence One Automatic Coffee Machine, I am providing a review outlining the good and bad aspects of this product. I purchased this used like new one (previous owner processed around 10 coffees) for £280 The good: 1. Versatile brewing options: The KRUPS EA895N40 Evidence One offers a wide range of brewing options, including espresso and cappuccino, allowing users to enjoy a variety of coffee beverages with ease. 2. Large water capacity: With a 2.3-liter water tank, this coffee machine eliminates the need for frequent refills, making it convenient for households with multiple coffee drinkers or offices with high coffee consumption. 3. Intuitive control panel: The control panel of the machine is user-friendly and easy to navigate, allowing for straightforward operation and customization of coffee preferences such as coffee strength and temperature. 4. Adjustable grinder settings: The built-in grinder offers adjustable settings, allowing users to grind their coffee beans to their desired coarseness for optimal flavor extraction. The bad: 1. Bulky size: The KRUPS EA895N40 Evidence One is a relatively large coffee machine, which may pose challenges for those with limited counter space in their kitchen or office. 2. Price: This coffee machine falls into the higher price range compared to other models on the market. While it offers various features and functionality, the cost may be prohibitive for some budget-conscious consumers. 3. Purchased this machine via Amazon's Warehouse at considerable discount and so far (1 week in) I am very pleased with the results this produces. Pros: 1). Incredibly simple to make just about any coffee. 2). The display clearly shows the percentage of coffee to milk being used when creating (nice touch). 3). Plenty of customisable options - strength, heat temp and volume. 4). Even has a favourites settings for customised coffee - just touch the favourites button once customised. 5). Milk based drinks are so simple to make (the latte is a real winner) - just insert the supplied tube in and drop the wand end into some milk. 6). Dimensions of the unit is very small - so fits well under kitchen units however, water tank filling is a problem when stored this way as removal and filling is from the top back of the machine. 7). So far, it's been easy to clean. Cons: 1). Not great for hot chocolate fans as only seems to have one frothy milk setting - which doesn't get hot enough for me. You can increase machines temperature but this didn't seem to help for this. 2). Water tank removes straight upwards (and needs space to do it) so doesn't really fit under kitchen units easily. Workaround is to pull out and either fill directly or remove (but does mean pulling it out each time). 3). Waste water tray is quite small so will need emptying regularly and notification looks to be based on numbers of coffee and not if the tray is actually full. Other comments: 1). Unsure about the descaling options but it looks quite simple in Krupps videos. 2). As it's a warehouse unit, this didn't come with the free sample water tank filter (that a new one would have) however we only fill our coffee machines using filtered water anyway. Conclusion: Very simple, Very neat machine. Blows my old Delonghi out of the water for the money. Thankyou Amazon!

We are coming from a Mellitta machine at a cost of £750 which developed an issue with the milk frothing. Turns out we should have just got the Mellitta replaced with another one. This krups machine is just a poor attempt at an automatic machine. If you've had experience of a good machine, this will appear very average. Firstly, if you have any less than half a milk bottle left of milk, the supplied milk tube will not reach down into the bottle to pull the milk out. So you will have to decant milk into a smaller jug for a frothy coffee. No a deal breaker, but kinda makes the point of having a milk tube like this point less. The rinse program that runs after you make a drink will not run through this milk tube, so each time you have to take it off and rinse it under the tap. On other machines this milk tube will be connected to the drip tray and the machine will run hot water through to clean it for you. The machine is very noisy and pretty slow. No option for pre ground coffee, which I didn't think would be a problem, but actually we miss the option of having a decaf coffe late at night if we want to. The worst bit of this machine is the programming of the system. Yes you can 'personalise' your drinks and save them. But you only get one saved 'personalised' drink per coffee type. Fine if you all like the same strength and quantity of coffee, not so great if you don't. The preset drinks have the option for pouring 2x drinks with a dedicated button. But, when you have set your own recipe, you don't get the option to use the '2 cup' button. So your personalised drink is always the same number of cups as it was saved as, if you saved it as 2 drinks you always get 2 drinks, if you saved it as 1, funnily enough you get 1 drink. What if you have saved the perfect type of cappuccino as a 2 cup recipe, but only want one cup? What nonsense programming is that? When selecting the size of drink it makes, the coffe part of the drink is measured in ml, as expected, then the milk part of the drink is measured in seconds?! Who signed that off? I don't know how big my cups are in seconds.... The handle on the water container is over complicated, it will break eventually. The grips on the grounds container are awkwardly spaced and slightly slippy. So you will eventually drop it. The drip tray is tiny. And after only 4 drinks I noticed the machine had wet itself under the tray and left a large puddle under the drip tray? How did that get there. Are there any good points about this machine? It's quite small I suppose. This machine should really be priced about £250-350. It's out of it league being priced at £550. Materials used, software experience and quality of the drinks made are simply not good enough. This machine is going back.

After doing my homework, this model came out a clear winner in respect for value for money, built in tech reviews . Once set up its easy to use, but instructions are not that comprehensive. it performs a steam cleaning process after every switch on and after use, which is great. but remember to leave a cup under the outlet to catch the water, or it goes all over the place and fills the drip tray up quickly. Also when it tells you to empty both storage sections. it means the drip tray and the coffee waster receptical on the left hand side. Use semi skimmed milk not full ft or it make to much froth. This is over all a fantastic machine that makes professional coffee shop quality drinks.

Brought this June 2023. It’s been switched off since January when I last used it. Turned it on yesterday and there is no digital display only the lit up ones. Can’t find anywhere why this has happened or how to fix it. Have emailed Krups no response as yet. Not impressed due to the cost of this machine

Pushed the boat out and invested in this one. No regrets at all. Play about with the easily altered settings to get to your taste and every cup will be perfect. The machine cleans itself, both coffee and milk. It will tell you when to empty the grounds container and the drip container, and to rinser out the milk pipe. Nice compact size, that doesn't look out of place on the kitchen worktop. Would definitely recommend.

The good: Easy to operate; The milk system; The coffee flavour and adjustments available The not so good: The time for the '2x' option The message for emptying the drip and grounds is based on number of coffees rather than on the filling state of each. So even if you just emptied them, you might get the message after the next drink.
