Fantastic DVD and CD as well
Fantastic DVD and CD as well. Creative and brilliant in execution. Also great to see the interviews with Alan Moore in the bonus section. Having the scripts for each scene also shows the creative process and how script is translated into cinema.

Want Moore
So good. So short.

Screen Moore even stranger than written Moore.
Moore flexes his David Lynch side in this strange series of interconnected vignettes. Worth a look if reality has become too mundane for you.

Will Leave You Wanting Moore (Oh, Please Yourselves...)
A genuinely terrifying Lancastrian clown in full makeup enacts and explains rites from the Egyptian Book of the Dead with a model of Anubis strapped to his head, whilst a burlesque artiste looms threateningly over a terrified bound and gagged man. In the cellar of a Northampton working men's club. Welcome to the world of Alan Moore. That the above is very far from being the strangest scene in the film should give you an idea of what to expect, but in reality it doesn't. In lesser hands than those of Moore and Jenkins, the very dark ideas explored here (and indeed the manner of their exploration) could be rendered risible our outright ridiculous. Instead the viewer is left wanting more, something that may come to pass as this is intended to be the beginning of a much larger project encompassing several types of media. The price looks a bit steep, but includes a lovely A4 sized illustrated script and a CD of music written for the film. Good extras on the DVD as well, including a 'making of' and interviews with cast and crew. A nice touch is the ability to watch each of the five films as originally made or collected together into a theatrical edit.Strange, beautiful and enhanced by repeated views, much like all of Alan Moore's work. Looking forward to the rest of it.

The Northampton movie industry awakens...
Dark, disturbing and twisted in a lot of ways a natural extension to Voice of the fire. Visually striking with a very English (perhaps Egyptian) sense of the surreal, want a t shirt with the Pharaoh quote from His heavy heart...
