Just as bad as they yellow ones
I foolishly thought these kiwi-colored ones would be better than Dritz's yellow flat head pins, but they are just as bad. I paid $8.96 for 50 of these wretched things! Dritz flat head pins USED to be the best you could get and I still love the ones from ten years ago. Those have held up well, are smooth and sharp and still enter thru the fabric with ease. I don't know WHAT Dritz is doing now with the construction of their pins, but they are a misery to use. They feel like they've been dipped in an acid etch and the whole shaft catches and drags horribly and you have to use extreme force to even get them thru the fabric. I stupidly threw out the packaging and slip before trying them out. No biggie, but you can be sure the pins quickly entered the trash can. I refuse to use a product that takes away from the joyful experience of sewing. I ended up getting Clover Q509 Quilting Pins, Fine. They cost $6.59 for 100 pins and while the little glass head is a bit trickier for me to see, they are very sharp and smooth and have worked well for my sewing projects.
