The Aurora Band, Night Roller

Before you buy this product please try to think about a time your hair came into contact with Velcro (yes, VELCRO) and it wasn't completely horrible and painful. Yeah, me either. So, I watched a couple tutorials before using this headband and was excited to try it out because I've used the same technique but with a regular headband as an actual style, you wrap and tuck your hair and it looks really cute. Long story short, when it came time for the grand reveal in the morning my hair WOULD NOT BUDGE to take this thing off because it's covered in Velcro and my hair was stuck to it. Ultimately I had to cut the headband itself across where it sits on your forehead to try and roll it out of my hair and even then my hair was all entwined in this death trap. When it finally came off I was left with a birds nest that I had to wash and style anyway (good thing I had the brains to try it on a weekend.) This thing is just a painful waste of time and I was advise against anyone wasting their $20 on it. If it wasn't covered in Velcro it would be fine, there's literally no reason for it because your hair won't slip out. Like I said, I've used the same technique with a regular headband as a style and when you take your hair out it's curled and beautiful like the way this product intends but the material this is made of just gets caught on your hair. I wish I could have rated this 0 stars

Not a huge fan. If you have someone doing your roll for you. It would work exactly as described. But when you are doing it yourself...danger of crisscross. In the morning I had a mess trying to get it loose. I have the generic version and love it. Smaller in diameter. I decided to try the original.Long story short. I altered it. Removed the velcro strip. Happy as a lark now.

Oh my goodness, I love this product. I am a working mom and have no time to sit and curl my hair. Ever. I usually just blow dry and run a straightener through the ends, when I have time. When I'm feeling lazy, I use this. I don't even have to blow dry my hair all the way, I wrap it around the band and go to bed. It doesn't bother me when I sleep, I wouldn't use it if it did. It's easy for me to take out in the morning, I have fine hair, but a lot of it. I get great curls and volume, and lots of compliments. It cracks me up because it's my lazy way out of fixing my hair. Thank goodness for this product. I would recommend viewing the youtube videos that demonstrate its use, this will make it much easier.

I am still working on the technique. I have gotten much better at rolling (I have a topsy tail to help with the small ends). It does give decent curl, but I find that my hair doesn't dry completely most nights. I have to use the blow dryer to ensure that it gets dried. Now taking this out is a little more complicated. There are written instructions, as well as videos you can watch. But it definitely takes some practice. I keep getting the velcro stuck right at the end as I and trying to pull it down off my head. I think part of the problem is just the length of my hair. With practice, I think that this will be a great addition to my hair regimen.

My complaint about this is that I haven't quite figured out the right way to use it. I've tried it with my hair wet, dry, moussed, everything and each time I end up with a rat's nest and a big bump in my hair where the band rests! I'm pretty disappointed with this in general. I'm wondering if I need much longer hair in order for it to work properly. My hair comes beneath my shoulders now. In all of the reviews I read it made it seem as though it would be really easy. Not quite as easy as it appears to be. I will continue to try to make it work but I hate having to redo my hair in the 11th hour because I look like a witch in the morning.

It broke when I started wrapping my sections around it as you have to pull it away from your head to make a gap so you can wrap your hair. The Velcro is a HORRIBLE AND TERRIBLE idea. It wasn't even on my head for more than 30 seconds and after it broke it was already a nightmare to get my hair out in one piece and my husband had to come help me. I can't imagine if this was left in overnight bc it would have been a horrible tangled mess as when you pull on wrapped hair that's in Velcro it just gets tighter and more embedded within the material. I wouldn't recommend this product and if I could give this a one star rating I would. SOOOOO GLAD it broke bc I think tomorrow morning I would have had to shave my head. Both thumbs DOWN.

it is very hard to get out of my hair in the morning, also I have very thick hair and it really does not curl the back of my hair very well.other than getting it out of my hair the product works well.

First time trying it, I like the results. Learning how to wrap your hair is a learning curve, but gets easier the more you do it.
