Doctor Who: Missy

Great artwork... but the story?
I was really looking forward to the release of this graphic novel featuring the four part mini series celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the first appearance of the Master played by the exceptional Roger Delgado. The artwork of the Master and Missy, played by the equally exceptional Michelle Gomez, was spot on and it was great to see references to various Doctors and storylines. The story starts with Missy calling herself Doctor Who and freeing the original Master from the Stormcage Containment Facility in the 52nd century. Presumably the facility is on Earth, otherwise "52nd century" would have no time line meaning within a universal scale, but this is not explained. Missy explains she needs the Master's help to locate a fragment of the Key To Time currently on an unnamed planet. The Master continues to assume his future self is "Doctor Who", even though they were both at the Academy together on Gallifrey and he knew his friend as "The Doctor". After fleeing the facility in a Police Box shaped TARDIS, the rest of the story makes no sense at all. The only saving grace is the artwork. Disappointing... or is it just me?

insecure order
The first order was awful. The package arrived, was opened and the comic was bended and with several damages. The second delivery was better than the first, however the comic is still not perfect conditions; there are little scratches on the cover. By the way, it is intact and acceptable.Next time I'll hope you pay attention about packaging and the condition of the product.

Oh Missy, you’re so fine
A fun trade that collects the mini series that focuses on the Missy version of The Master. Jody Houser does a great job capturing the voice of the character. The story also features a few surprises
