Memories of the Old West and Retro crime caper
Another very entertaining crime caper from Ed Brubaker, nicely complemented by atmospheric artwork.

Excellent gritty, crime/noir story that touches on mortality
Fantastic work from the best comic book writers around at the moment. Pulp opens in 1930s America, NY, a former cowboy is now churning out stories for the pulp books. His publisher is tight fisted, and a bit of a dingus. From there, we move into a crime, which gets side tracked, and.. well, the story moves quickly, and is very easy to digest in one sitting as the story is so well edited and tightly plotted. A joy to read, and so great I want more in this series!

Excellent, elegiac genre piece
A former Wild West thief, now an elderly writer for the pulps, considers one last heist. Excellent, elegiac genre piece which touches on a wide range of themes: mortality, regret, ageing, being left behind by a changing world. Recommended.
