The media could not be loaded. Out of 8 plates, 5 has some very minor defects. Understandable since those are handcrafted ceramics. This issue might be inevitable. I’m using two for food and one for watercolor palette. It doesn’t stain at all! Very good quality. I’d recommend this product.

I Ordered Dowan 9.7 inch Porcelain serving plates. They are beautiful, they have a nice shine to them and look elegant. What I love about them is they are safe to put in the oven, microwave and also the dishwasher. They also have a lip around the entire plate so if there is a liquid it won’t spill.I ordered them to use in our Culinary Arts group in 2 weeks for appetizers but once I got them I saw how versitile they are as they can be used for serving a loaf cake or meat loaf or even a sandwich with side of salad or small shell fish or for tapas like asparagus wrapped in bacon or stuffed strawberries. It’s perfect. I can set up things ahead of time, and cover them put in the refrigerator and then put in the oven before serving so I don't have to dirty 2 plates. They are so pretty with a little sprig of mint next to something like strawberries they will look elegant.

Love these plates. Great size and weight for buffet line plates or for serving hors d’voeres.

These plates are great for entertaining or for turning an everyday meal into a fun event. Everything looks so elegant when served on these rectangular plates - making you look like a chef! The plates have a chic, modern design, yet they can fit in a traditionally styled home too. They are an ivory/creamy white color (not true white). Beware of the differing sizes. Each plate has a large rim, so the flat part of the plate isn't as large as you might think. For the 9.7x5.4" plates, the flat area inside the rim is just 7.5x3.25" - which compares to an average round 8" salad/dessert plate. The 12x6" plates have a flat surface of approximately 9x3.5" which is a little smaller than an average 10.5" round dinner plate. The 14x8" plates have a flat surface of approximately 11x4.5" which is slightly larger than an average round dinner plate. I believe either of the 2 larger sizes could be used as dinner plates depending on your appetite and presentation. The largest plate can also be used as a serving platter and the smaller plates could be used for serving side dishes. There is a lot of versatility when you have all 3 sizes! Plus they look great with the Dowan dip bowls, small soup bowls, and square ramekins sitting on top of the rectangular plates for dip&chips, soup&sandwiches, meal&salads, specialty desserts, etc.

The plates are not as wide as it looked on Amazon, but I wanted white rectangular plates. But for me I always have a use even if it’s not quite what thought. The plates are great! Just not the size I thought, but I love the under side it has grip,so as I wash them tgey stay in my hand. This size plate makes for a good size fillet to place right in the middle, with veggies on one end an a starch on the other end,for a very nice presentation at home,at least for me I like cooking for my friends and Joy when she visits 😀. It’s actually a beautiful design with semi visible lines around the edges of the entire plate. I have 2 sizes from this company if that helps any one,both are great depending on what your presenting,tgey cool on a coffee brown table with the different colors of substance. My opinion you can’t go wrong for the value. I have bowls as well and will order more different styles of their plates.

I bought these almost a year ago. We have used them a lot, as they fit perfectly into my small oven. I cook meats and stuff on them. They have never gotten any chips and are super well made. Also, they are SUPER easy to clean. Even when I bake on them, the food seems to come right off. These are some of my favorite dishes. I actually came in here to buy an additional set and thought I would leave a quick review. I'm hoping if I buy another set, they'll be exactly the same as the ones I bought before. We'll see...

These plates are great and the right size. I take lots of pictures of food that I make and the food looks so much better on these plates.

These plates are gorgeous. I bought them as serving plates (to serve appetizers), but I love them so much that I use them as dinner plates sometimes. Awesome quality and style for the price!
