Super inspiring book
This book is like catnip. Iām so excited. Cables always intimidated me. Not anymore. The process is explained so well. The photos are beautiful. I love the whole design of the book. Small but mighty. Cannot wait to get going!

Superb little knitting book!
Just love this little knitting book! Well thought out and photos well devised. Easy to choose which stitch I want to use and the 6" x 7" folds back on itself so that following pattern is super easy. If you are into knitting cables, this gem is all you need!

Major upgrade to my knitting.
I had been nervous about starting a cabled knitting project, but this book was crazy empowering. More than just a collection of cables there are good tips and tricks, a collection of filler patterns and easy to complex cables with instructions on how to include them in a project. This book catapulted my knitting from "nice" to "holy cow! You made that!?"I'm excited to tackle my next three projects once I'm done with a baby blanket. I'm thinking a cardigan next.

I'm going to enjoy this book.
I just received it today, & already interrupted 2 current projects to try it out! I'm making a cabled mug cozy with an easy cable pattern. For a volume that isn't extremely large, it contains a lot of information.Contents:Cable Basics- Terminology Symbols for charting Working Cable CrossingsSimple Cables- Standard Rope Cables Varying cable size Changing the proportions Combinations Double crossing cablesAngles and curves Angles Diamonds Curves and circlesBraids and pretzelsFillers, ribbings, & allover patternsDressing up your cables Adding texture & bobbles Two color cables Beading up your cables Reversible cable methodsDesign considerations Balancing patterns vertically " " " " horizontally Coping with take up and splay Decreasing and increasing in cable patternsThe beginning information,(i.e.; working in cables, etc), is accompanied by color photos. I found that helpful. Each cable pattern has a color photo and chart. They do NOT have written instructions. I thought that would be a problem for me, as I'm not used to using charts for knitting. But I started with an easy cable pattern, and have no problem following it. It's coming out good.It may not be THE most comprehensive book out there on cables, at least in terms of pattern variety, but I find it's a very good one for the size. I will say, depending on your knitting library, this could be repetition of what you may already have-if you have an extensive library. I like it's portable size, and that it's spiral bound. If you don't already have lots of books on cables, I think it's worth considering.

Does the job it says on the cover
I'm a sucker for anything knitting based, I even just love looking at all the pictures without needing to knit everything. This book offers numerous cable patterns and is easy to follow (but then I've been knitting for over 30 years, if you are a novice maybe not so easy).
