I still have this book at home and it's also a great resource for the vtne
I bought this book a few years ago for a class. I still have this book at home and it's also a great resource for the vtne. The book is looks good visually as well as its content. I think this is a great book for hematology. It has great pictures and very detailed explainations of everything. I really enjoyed reading this book. Most people get this book for school, but I think you will enjoy it anyways. I also think this book would do well in a hospital setting. It has great identification pictures that can be used on a regular bases.

This is probably my favorite book this semester
This is probably my favorite book this semester. I am a vet tech student and I work in a veterinary hospital as an assistant/technician. This book has been invaluable in learning new sampling techniques, which I've applied to my work with great success and confidence. I feel like I know a lot more about different aspects of hematology - how to perform tests, sample collection and preparation, diseases, etc. Absolutely great if you're studying or just want to learn new techniques to apply in practice.

Too technical but great photos of blood cells
Big heavy book, goes into great details on exotics and has great illustration. But way too deep for for abilities. You have to read between the lines and get through way too many clinical explanations . Very technical but good book. Only bought because it was required by one instructor and not by another. Overall good reference book , if you can afford it.

Helpful text but has MANY spelling errors and few informational errors
I like all the cases in this text, helpful to go through. But there are TONS of spelling errors I have found, and I've only read 10 cases so far. There is even an error where they wrote "increased" instead of "decreased". Errors like that are no good, giving false information to student reading the text!

THE most valuable veterinary textbook I have ever owned.
Completely replaced class notes and has been useful and grade-saving in ALL my term 3 and 4 courses and beyond. Invaluable, helps with pathogenesis and DDx as well, plus excellent flow charts, diagrams, pictures. Many other books recommended by professors, upper termers, clinicians, they are no where near as helpful, this was a hidden gem, wish I had found it sooner than 1/2 way through my clinical pathology course.

good as book not so much for kindle
As a book held in our hand it is a great book. For some reason, as a kindle book they decided it didn't need page numbers, which has made it useless for me in classes. When the instructor asked us to turn to a page number all I had was location 16, 549 seriously? How does that help? This has made me so much more aware to look for this little things called page numbers, especially in text books.

Great text
I was required to purchase this textbook for my Clinical Pathology class during my second year of veterinary school. This text is very well written, easy to understand and the case studies in the back were extremely helpful! Much better written than a lot of other medical textbooks!!
