Poolmaster Advanced Kickboard Swim Trainer and Swim Aid

Seems great! Details: -I got the smaller child size kickboard -I am a 5'4" tall adult and this board size is good for me -it has good hand grip areas -material is rock hard plastic -board is hollow inside so not overly heavy, but still has weight to it -I dropped the board on the top of my bare foot by accident inside the house and it hurt like hell -if this thing goes flying into someone, it will harm them -the board seems durable and long-lasting, unlike the foam boards -in extreme heat (Arizona), the painted hard foam boards last ok but the color eventually begins smearing off Packaging: it arrived wrapped in clear plastic which was easy to cut off. Then there was a paper label that was stuck on the backside that I peeled off, but it left some sticky residue on the board. I had to scrub off the sticky spots but they came off. This annoyed me, but I got over it. Full five stars because it serves its purpose and is durable. Just remember: it is weighted HARD plastic and will absolutely hurt someone if they get smacked with it, especially in the face or head.

Great for beginners

This float device works great. Unfortunately it was damaged in transit. I used it one time not realizing that it had a cracked seam until we noticed that it had some water inside of it. Even so it performed well. I returned it and bought a foam board. We all wish we had the first board instead. This board floats the best of the 2 styles.

I thought I ordered an adult but had gotten a child’s one! But I’m 5’1 so it’s perfect I’ve enjoyed using it!

I am 5'3 154lbs and I use this board to swim laps with. It will hold me up in the water if I want to lean on it, though I would not use it as a life-saving device. It is hard plastic, like a kid's toy. It is not like the ones that pools have available for lap swimming. I don't know what they are made out of, but they are more of a styrofoam product. This one has multiple hand holds which I find useful as well. It does not hold any water but floats above and should last forever. It is a smaller board than the ones at the pool but that does not matter as I only use it to hold onto when swimming on my back or with my arms outstretched practicing the front crawl. I rarely use it as a kickboard, by resting my body on it. Since I swim laps for exercise I prefer to hold it at arm's length and use it for specific strokes. I'm pleased with the purchase and find the smaller size useful in fitting it in my bag and carrying it back and forth from my home to the pool.

I saw other reviews mentioning this was great for autistic kids, so I figured it would be good for my not autistic but very very accident prone just clumsy children. No. This is made of such hard plastic that when my kids try to put it under water it flies up out of the water, as expected. This really hurts if it hits you in the face. Maybe just keep this for adult use, because it seems well made.

I have enjoyed this kick board. It is perfect for my swimming 3 times a week. It will potentially last a life since it is durable plastic.

Sirve para nadar pero no para flotar. Para profesionales está excelente, pero si buscas que tu hijo se ayude para flotar no es l opción.

This is not a floatation device. I use this in the local rehab pool for exercise. I use this with outstretched arms and not to lie on as it is not designed for that. However I do sink the board to create underwater resistance to paddle whilst exercising my knees using flippers. The various handle locations allows for different exercises. For example by clutching the board to my chest, the board gives just enough buoyancy to have me standing vertical whilst using my flippers to paddle backwards. Good exercise for two damaged knees. If you lie on this board, you will sink, it's a kick board.

I have bought a number of foam kickboards in the past but each one of them has become damaged quickly. This kickboard is plastic which makes it very durable. I also love that it has multiple points for the kids to hold onto easily. Would definitely buy this again.
