Well crafted and perfect for a Parrotlet
This flight suite works perfectly for our precious little parrotlet. We are now able to take him outside, which gives both him and us pleasure. It is very well made, and perfectly sized for a parrotlet.

Great idea, but not for parakeets
I ordered the petite flightsuit, which was supposed to fit parakeets. Either my parakeet is a runt, or these are simply too large. I unpicked and resewed the suit to be smaller smaller, found I went too small, redid it, still too much width across the chest, fixed that, added a hook and eye since my bird had eaten through the velcro. It's still not right! My poor bird wore this thing innumerable hours while I adjusted things and now I just don't have the heart to subject her to it anymore. I may go back to the drawing board eventually, but for now the suit is sitting in the bottom of a sewing project drawer. Also: that lanyard is totally impractical for a parakeet. It weighs more than the bird!!

Weighs little birds down
Don't bother. I think the idea behind this is a good one and that it might be better for larger birds, but for the small birds I have, it throws them off balance, which puts them in danger of falling or toppling over. Save your money. Your small birds will thank you. (Plus, you can't return it once it's been opened.)

The concept of it is nice but I feel it looks too bulky
The concept of it is nice but I feel it looks too bulky. We bought the smallest one for our parrotlet and we went through all the conditioning suggested by the manufacturer, we eventually coaxed him into wearing it but he absolutely hated it. Once it was on him, he'd just spend all his energy trying to get it off. It really seemed to be stressing him out, so we haven't used it since. We originally bought a larger size for our cockatiel and he seemed to not mind it, since putting it on meant he was allowed to walk around with our cat, but he too would spend a lot of time trying to pull it off. I think the birds hate how inside sleeve rubs against their wing, it bent some of our cockatiels feathers. Eventually, the cockatiel managed to tear the velcro strip on his a little and we haven't put him back in it.I'm at an impasse on whether or not I should recommend this to others or not. The flight suit seems more suited to larger birds, like cockatiels and larger, with the smaller birds they're just terrified but I think it'd still work depending on your pets temperament and how well they do with new things. Our parrotlets are terrified of new things and it takes a long time to get them conditioned and the cockatiel has a really bad temper and pretty much hates everything we give him, he just loves our cat.So summary: Good product for the right pet, make sure you follow the instructions/tips on conditioning your bird to ensure he gets used to it.

Wish I had discovered this sooner!
What a great product! My bird adapted to the flightsuit quickly after following the conditioning techniques the company recommends -- now my bird is out with me in everyroom and even on outings!! THIS IS THE BEST!!!

I think the idea is great, but my parrotlets hate this and are willing to,draw blood over the concept of wearing this. A bust with all 3 of my super sweet hand fed parrotlets. I say save your money. :(
