Chasen Take the hand carved chasen out of the container and soak the prongs in cold water for a few minutes before first use. Store your whisk on a stand or upright but never back in the container. Before each use, inspect the whisk and remove any broken prongs. Clean the whisk under cold water. Gently rub the prongs to remove powder. Pat dry then air dry. The shape of your whisk will change over time. The knot will open after each use. This is expected. If you use your whisk daily, replace it every few months. Very nice set!
I love this Matcha tea set! I recently began drinking green matcha tea as a replacement for coffee. I had Lymes disease recently which led to some adrenal issues and coffee was just making me anxious, and no longer the treat it once was. I can't tell you how much heathier and cleaner I feel from this switch. Since I was getting really into the matcha I decided it was worth investing in the set and I have no regrets. Trying to make matcha in a coffee cup with a spoon was not optimizing the benefits of the tea. Not only did it make a mess but there were clumps of tea on the bottom. With the proper bowl and bamboo whisk there is no mess and no more wasted clumps on the bottom. Even measuring with the provided bamboo spoon was easier. As a bonus the bowl is pretty cool looking. The tea itself seems to be high quality and is from Japan, which from my research is the only place to find quality green matcha tea. If you are becoming a serious daily green matcha tea user or know someone who is than this set is a must!

Elegant and fun
This matcha tea set is well made, solid, and true. It's beautiful packaging/delivery is an honest precursor to the products themselves. Each piece is a pleasure to use and to look at. I recommend this for matcha beginners especially...the set will draw you into the practice hook, line, and sinker!

Great "starter kit"
Love this set especially the bowl!! It was just as it was pictured. I am new to Matcha Tea so this was the perfect starter kit for me. The owner sent me a message checking in on my satisfaction.....that was a plus. And provided a recipe for use of the tea.....very cool.

Lovely
I have not used the set yet, but it is lovely and the packaging was very impressive. My daughter went to a tea ceremony this past summer in Japan and the set caught her eye (on the table). My husband also commented on it as a lovely set.

Worth it!
I love the bowl and the quality of the bamboo tools and strainer. I have not tried the enclosed tea yet because I had my own. If you like matcha, this set is worth it.
