Summit Chemical 117-6 30 Oz Mosquito Bits®

I made the tea mixture on the label to water my house plants to kill a fungus gnat infestation. I had tried everything else but this tea mixture for several waterings did the trick! Some of the packages don't have the tea recipe for some reason. I put 4 tablespoons of the product in 8 oz. of warm water, then add 8oz. more after it soaks for 30 minutes. Then water your plants as usual and it will kill the eggs, larva, and any adults it comes in contact with. Use along with the sticky gnat catchers you put in the plant posts to catch the adults hopefully before they lay eggs.

I've bought the plastic shaker/pour jar of this product before and found it convenient to use and store avd the product itself really works. I use it, not just in my ponds, but I also sprinkle some in the holes I dig for planting shrubs and perennials to get rid of fungus gnats - and my plants do seem to thrive more than without.My only issue is that I did not receive the plastic jar, as shown but rather a cellophane package that you must rip or cut the top open to use. It is more prone to spill and less convenient to store properly because it doesn't stand in its own. Stiil seems to be a good product though.

First, what I received was not what was pictured. The picture showed a hard plastic container for easy dispersal. What I received was a plastic bag with a quarter size hole in it. 1/3 of the pellets were in the shipping envelop. I assume since there is a zip-lock strip the pellets are meant to stay fresh.

This is the only product I use for gnat control, other than a good c systemic in the c soil. This stuff stinks! OMG it stinks but is well worth the money. It's easy to use. Just add to water. This is what I use to water all plants, all the time regardless of species. Get you some. It works!

I could have got this cheaper elsewhere but I paid more for this particular one because of the plastic container it came in. They shipped it to me in a sealed bag, not the container. This stuff works well though! Make a tea out of it and water your plants with that. Dont pour this stuff directly into your plants!

I've been fighting off fungus gnats every since I started getting house plants. Many times I threatened to toss out all my plants, because of the pesky gnats! I've tried many things water from the bottom only, wait till plants are very dry. Diluted peroxide with water, dryer sheets around the roots lol If anything they would come back worse :( Now I take these bits & put them in a wrapped up cheesecloth tied up & soak them in a gallon of water. When my plants need watering I use it either full strength or watered down. Because after they soak for a while they get a bit funky smelling. Seen one lone gnat a day or so after & none now since I started a month ago. I have my fingers crossed I solved my problem, but summer may be a challenge.

I used this product as directed on the back of the bottle. A few days later all of my plants have white mold growing in them from the bits. I have 200+ plants! I had to scoop out the first couple of inches of soil and then replace it out of all of my plants. This product wasted my time and my money! I was furious and very disappointed!!! I’m so glad I caught the mold early before it killed my plants! #pissedplantmom

I just moved into a brand new apt building so I was NOT expecting a gnat problem. But, I literally had hundreds. So, I put some in a mesh bag in water and mixed some into the soil of my house plants. And they are GONE! IT WORKS AND IM GRATEFUL. I also put water mixture by a windows to. Very happy with this product.
