Does anyone recommend going to synthetic for my 1986 toyota ps unit?

I wouldn't go synthetic in a 34 year old system. If you're serious about doing it right I suggest cleaning the hoses THOROUGHLY then keep an eye on them. Replace any leaking hoses at this time.
