This book is a simple, detailed guide for kids starting out playing basketball, and for a parent learning the rules of the game. My kid has been practicing the drills and noticing improvement, which motivates them to keep practicing. I highly recommend it for any kid who is interested in playing basketball.

Great tips and learning tools for young players Well written and easy to follow

My 10 year old is starting basketball this year, and she wanted to learn the rules of the game. I purchased this book and she loves it. It is written for a child and is easy to understand and implement. Not only does it have the rules of the game, but it explains HOW to do specific things with the ball in step by step instructions, with photos and illustrations. It also explains WHY the techniques work. I also love that after presenting a technique, the book goes back and reviews that technique so that the child really understands and tries it the right way. Again, it's also excellent that this book explains WHY certain things work as it really motivates the child to do the techniques the right way.
