RFID NFC Blocking Slim Bi-fold Wallet Made Of Vegan Cork Leather

This wallet is so cute! It holds everything that I need it to and I get a ton of compliments on it. It doesn't hold very much cash, but I don't carry cash very often anyway. It has no wear and tear and I've been using it since xmas!

This smelled TERRIBLE! Yuck. We returned it.

I wanted to downsize my wallet and finding a new vegan wallet that met my criteria was proving difficult. My haves and have-nots:-- I did not want plastic.-- I did not want to have to use those RFID protectors but I absolutely wanted that protection since a friend’s credit card information was recently stolen that very way.-- The material obviously had to be vegan because there was no way I was going to use another animal’s skin.-- It had to be stylish and unique.-- I wanted something easy to find in my bag.-- The wallet’s production must not hurt the environment.After searching for over a year (!!!) I came across this RFID NFC Blocking Slim Bi-fold Wallet Made Of Vegan Cork Leather by Made of Bark and I could not be happier.Not only has this wallet ticked every box on my list above, it has exceeded my wants because it is made from cork leather which not only does no harm to cork oak trees but instead helps them live longer lives.The wallet is the perfect size for me as there are five credit card slots and three pockets you can slide other cards or money/receipts into. You can see my attached photos for the overall size. I especially like the way that the cork feels and smells. The texture is moderately grippy so it is easy to find in my bag. The bamboo scent is light and fresh. The RFID issue is covered so no more of those sleeves for my credit cards.I have received several compliments on my cork wallet and have told others where they can buy theirs. Ideally, I would give this wallet a rating of 3.5 stars...PROS:1. Wallet is very light weight.2. Very interesting, unique design. I've had several compliments on it.3. RFID is a useful feature. Having been a victim of identity theft, I really appreciate any product that can help me avoid the headache that identity theft can cause.CONS:1. Display of cards when inserted (See picture). This may not be an issue for everyone, but, the right side of the wallet, where your cards are inserted vertically, has 3 pockets. When cards are inserted in each slot, the bottom two slots, will leave your cards in a position that makes them level with each other. This makes removal of your cards ever so slightly more difficult than if the pockets had been sewn in such a way that the cards would have all been offset of each other. The same situation also exists on the left side, where cards are inserted horizontally. Both slots will leave your cards even or level with each other.2. Wallet does not lie flat when full. In time, perhaps it will become more flexible at the bend, and this will not be a problem...we shall see.3. Cork is thin. There are several tiny spots on the wallet, that are not covered by cork, and you can see the mesh backing. I'm afraid that this will encourage more cork from peeling off as time passes.I was able to purchase this item at a discount for review purposes. I welcome any and all questions you may have.

This is a fantastic, authentic cork wallet. It was hard to believe that a wallet could be made with real cork, however, this wallet is nicely made and very attractive. My husband absolutely loves it. It is smaller than the average 3 fold wallet, so I'm not sure this will work for his day-to-day wallet use, however, he will absolutely use it for trips where he needs a smaller wallet. I was really impressed with the craftsmanship with this wallet. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes cork. A VERY attractive and light-weight wallet. The cork is very smooth so the material does not get hung up when coming out of your pocket. There are eight pockets so you have plenty of room for your ID, credit cards, receipts and money. Even after loading all of these items in the wallet, there was no bulge. The wallet closes very easily.The black material on the inside of the wallet (lining) isRFID and NFC blocking fabric that prevents your chip-based credit cards from being scanned from the outside. This wallet is stylish and safe to use. It is made out of sustainably harvested Portuguese cork oak bark and lined with RFID and NFC blocking fabric to protect your chip-based credit cards. The cork material is absolutely gorgeous and unique in that no two wallets will look the same. The bi-fold style makes it very compact and slim. It has five card slots and three pouches. The stamped on logo is subtle and nice. I appreciate that it is a humane alternative to your traditional animal leather.
