Used 2 times. First time it worked fine. Second time, it wouldn't turn off or switch light modes. Removed batteries and reinserted but still wouldn't turn off.

I've been purchasing these headlamps trying to figure out which one is my favorite. My family does a lot of hiking in the Philippines. Also my family owns a few fishing vessels in the Philippines. Nothing like a commercial fishing boat or anything. These are smaller family fishing boats. But we do go out for days at a time and these work wonders in the middle of the night. Hands free lights are amazing - both hands are needed for just about everything you do out there in the ocean. And everything works great! I love the tilting feature of the lamp so I can point it towards the ground more than the walls. It helps out a ton!! This comes with it's own batteries as well which is very convenient. Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This light shocked me at how bright it is! My title should give you the idea that this light impressed me quite a bit! It does'nt have any padding on the battery 'box' on the back, however, since it's so small, it really does'nt need it! I only thought you could get decent light out of a headlamp that took two 18650 type batteries, but I'm happy I'm wrong! Anyway, down to the technical (or as technical as I can get) specs of this light. I wore it for 3 hours straight out of the box (NO adjustments for size, or other things) and since I have a rather large cranium, I did'nt think I could handle it for too long, however, I was quite able to! Yes, it was tight, and left a few marks on my skin for a short time afterwards, but it was also relatively comfortable! (Remember, there were NO size adjustments done!) This light is mostly a 'spot' type of light, but is VERY bright for its size! However, it's only good for being rather bright if you're close-up, if you're looking for a light that's bright at long distances, (I hate to say it) you'll need to look elsewhere, as well, either this light does'nt do long distances, (I've seen it go for about [roughly] 100 feet [0.03 Kilometers]) or there just is'nt that much to be seen around here. (I think the answer's 'B'). Anyhow, I added a video to give you an idea of what the beam looks like, and some pictures (sorry they're so blurry, I'm just not that good with a camera, [I shake too much]). One other thing I want to mention, *I received this headlamp at a discount (and now that I've seen the actual price and performance, and it's so useful to me, I think I'll get a couple more!) for an honest and fair review* and if you need a light for, well, MANY things, and want it to be bright, and have multiple modes, (high, medium, and flash) then get this light! You WON'T be disappointed!

My 4 year old used this headlamp on a weekend trip up to our favorite hiking cave in Northern Arizona, Lava River Cave. We frequent this hiking location and a headlamp is a must since it's entirely underground. I've found that the types of headlamps with a top straps are great for young kids since they stay in position very well. Though obviously this is not a set specifically designed for kids and I worked very well on my head as well, very versatile adjustment ability for all sizes. It's not easy to find this style of headlamp at this price range ($12.99 at time of this writing). All others that I own were at least twice this price, so this is a fantastic deal. The controls were simple enough for my 4 year old to work without assistance, just a single button above the bulb. This lamp is also a great amount of brightness for hiking as well, a brighter more focused dispersion of light that most other budget headlamps I've tested out. A good flashlight is lightweight and anatomically fits well on the head. We constantly go camping with the kids and frogging with friends, this flashlight allows you to have both hands free to use tools, cutting firewood, cooking, look for things in your backpack, feeding the fire or read a book. The duration of the batteries is very good, use it almost daily and haven't had to change the batteries yet.I highly recommend this light to everyone looking.... It is very bright and I am one happy customer!
