I heard the Apple reccommends not using a screen protector or keyboard cover? have you all designed these covers to avoid damaging the retina display

i avoided using the screen protector provided since apple highly recommended against using it , however i do use the keyboard cover for when i am typing or have the laptop open (i have cats and i don't want to get dust and fur under my keys) but i take the keyboard cover off when i close my laptop (since apple also says that using so will ruin the retina display). i do have a friend who uses the keyboard cover and leaves it on when she closes it, and she says the only lasting damage she has seen on her macbook is keyboard imprints on her screen when she opens it but it doesnt bother her

Does the bottom fit snugly? Can you open the laptop without issue when the bottom is clipped on?

Yes it snaps on perfect and is not loose. There is not an issue opening the laptop with the case on.

Does this case cover the bottom of the laptop, too?

There are two pieces, one for the top/screen, and one for the bottom. So the answer is yes!

is it possible to return this? i used it but i just didn’t feel like it was completely safe on my laptop
