Powerful Mamas Do It Yourself Placenta Encapsulation Kit

This came with everything. Only things I needed was a dehydrator(which isn't necessary as it comes with oven dehydrating instructions), a coffee grinder(again not necessary as the kit comes with a pestle and mortar and even though it's more time consuming I recommend it over the powdered over pulverized outcome of the coffee grinder), and 100 proof alcohol for the tincture. My tincture bottle dropper did break(after it got to me I had it here 6+ months before I used the kit) but that was my fault, it came intact. I recommend using a better knife than the kit gives you. I also recommend having someone help you. I did mine at home alone with a 6 month old and 3 year old! Took like two days total but I did it! I recommend getting another tincture bottle too, the tinctures you make have an indefinite shelf life. My placenta prints came out beautiful. So thankful I got this kit. I haven't taken my pills, I didn't encapsulate my placenta until 6 months after my son's unassisted homebirth. Although my iron has been a tad low so maybe I should have/still. Anyways highly recommend this kit. I would buy again. The instructions were easy to follow, the pictures were a little fuzzy but still helpful.

Loved this kit! It included every item that I needed in order to encapsulate my placenta, as well as a step by step instruction booklet. If you're looking to do your own encapsulation, I highly recommend Powerful Mamas DIY kit....The only thing I can say is that after our delivery, I was exhausted! The idea of the placenta encapsulation made my husband squeamish, so I ended up doing it myself, very easy to do- however next time I think I'll hire someone else and give my body more time to heal. As a FTM I didn't realize how much my insides would hurt after birth. Ha! I stretched my encapsulation process out over the length of two days because standing for too long hurt.The kit itself though was perfect! If you know what you're getting yourself into, or have a SO willing to help out, look no farther.

This kit is a simple way to get all the items for preparing and encapsulating the placenta, saving lots of time and energy that would be spent tracking down and purchasing the odds and ends that are needed. The directions are relatively easy to follow, although you will find yourself taking time and care to skip over the extra steps (creating a placenta print, making a placenta tincture) that are stuck smack dab in the middle of the standard process. Although a mortar and pestle are included with the kit, using a simple coffee grinder to grind the placenta jerky down to powder will save you hours of time and a sore wrist as well. For me, the end product turned out great, plus I scored a stock pot, colander, food thermometer, and other items that most can reuse if they're not grossed out by the fact that they came in contact with a human placenta. Overall, this kit is a great idea that is well-executed. Thank you, Powerful Mamas!

As a Placenta Encapsulation specialist whenever I come across someone who can not afford services I will definitely point them to this package so they can do it themselves with confidence!
