The utensils are shiny and solidly built. Each feels good in the hand, and the wood is smooth and comfortable to hold.Note that the shank doesn't go the entire length of a utensil; instead, the end that contacts the food is a separate piece of metal from the hanging eyelet.Reasons for each point deduction, neither of which should really dissuade you from buying probably:1. The edges of the wooden handles around the points of insertion of the metal components are a bit rough, and often the wood and metal are not flush--not too far off, just enough to notice when you're holding the instrument.2. I was shipped an extra spatula in place of a skimmer. This is *okay* but you know I would have preferred a full, diverse set.

Very nice and useful set seem to be well made, they are heavy and should last a long time, just wish the soup ladle was deeper and narrower.

Not sure how long these will last and my hopes are minimal. The edges are sharp and can scratch nonstick pans (time to bust out a grinder to finish what should have been done at the factory).

Very nice and at a good price.

Just got these and out of the box they look great and are amazingly sturdy. Really happy with my purchase.

The wood handles look cheap.
