I used explorer mine helmets for camping with church students to not only locate where they are but also to work in the dark. This product requires three AAA batteries and kids loved wearing it. You can adjust the strap inside and it was comfortable wearing it. If you are doing a VBS with the theme of "Cave Quest" as we did this year, this helmet is perfect for the counselors and students. It has a nice design, sturdy and has a bright LED light! Personally, I would use it for late night work outside or for a walk since you can unlock the light downward to point on the street. All the kids wanted to wear it and walked around with it and even wanted to sleep with it on in both camping areas and inside the tent. Kids wanted it so bad, I gave them away as gifts. I was VERY satisfied with the purchase!

We used this for exploring a cave. It served its purpose. The blue light didn't give as good of an illumination as we would've liked. It's not an actual hard hat used at factories, etc. It arrived quickly in time for our trip.

My son was a zombie miner for Halloween. The light worked great, adjustable inside.
