Being neither a locksmith nor an electrician, I was a bit apprehensive about a DIY keyless entry installation. However, upon receiving the HuTools lock I was immediately put at ease by their clear and comprehensive step-by-step installation guide. Since I didn't have to do any drilling or cutting because my old deadbolt lock was the same size, the entire installation including the code setup took about 20 minutes. Though it's not Wi-Fi (and really what IS the benefit of a Wi-Fi feature when it takes longer to open up your lock via an app than punching in a short code on the keypad??), the feature set is robust. Love the option to have different codes for each family member that is easy for them to remember. And though I won't likely need it, the one time code feature for visitors is a great idea. I'm going to watch this company closely: Based on this product's look, cost, and performance, I'll be back for more!

I really like the programable deadbolts. They just make it so much easier than having to find the right key - especially if your hands are full. I one each on my garage door and my front door and wanted to add one to the patio door that is used most often. This install was one of the easiest to do. The programming was simple and I was able to have it up and running in 20 minutes. The toughest thing for me to figure out was how to get that battery cover off. There is a little notch at the very bottom where a straight screw driver levers in. Once I found that - it was simple. The buttons feels nice and the lock feels solid -- and the price cannot be beat. Very happy with this item.

I had it installed and it worked for about a year now it struggles to lock. I’ve done everything like changed the batteries and reset twice so it’ll work for about 2 weeks after that then I have to manually turn the knob to lock from the inside and use the key to lock from the outside. When I buy another it’ll probably won’t be this product. I thought it’ll last longer than it did.

I spent a lot of time looking for the right door handle, got tired of misplacing my keys so I wanted a keyless entry and I was deciding whether to go with the fingerprint or code, after careful consideration I decided that there were too many options out there and prices were way too high, yes fingerprints are cool but is it really worth it a 50+ dollar difference? I didn’t think so and I was right, I am more than satisfied with these new tool in my house, we don’t have to worry about forgetting our keys anymore and it’s super easy to set up. I would 100% recommend also because of the price!

Stopped working after 2 years. Batteries were replaced and was reset back to factory settings. Keypad works to unlock but WILL NOT RELOCK after you go through. This was the entire reason why I purchased this lock as my kids kept forgetting to lock the door after going through. Tried contacting the seller with NO RESPONSE. Now I have to get a new system and reinstall. Not worth the money or headache purchasing this one!

It helps if you’ve installed a lock before. Directions need to be downloaded but pretty good. Better than the drawings on the box. Had for a couple of months and works great. I like the auto lock delay from 1-99 seconds is programmable

UPDATE - I’m increasing my review to 2 stars. On a whim, we tried a different type of batteries. Both were new but one was a stronger battery. The better battery allow us to “train” and program the lock. For those of you that are having trouble with that step, try more expensive batteries. Also download the instructions from the code on the box. They are different. The instructions I the box DO NOT work! I still wouldn’t recommend this lock but thought we would include what we found with the batteries for those of you that are stuck with this lock. Good luck!We thought we would give this lock a try, since our normal Kwikset ones are out of stock everywhere. Unfortunately, this HuTools lock is a cheap plastic lock that doesn't work. The installation was relatively easy, but the instructions are horrible. Once we had the lock installed, we followed the instructions to set-up the lock. We placed 3 batteries in, then held down the reset button and placed the 4th battery until it beeped. The lock is supposed to engage and learn the orientation. Our lock would not activate. It just kept beeping. Under the trouble shooting section, it says scan the code for additional instructions. We scanned the code which brought us to a different set of instructions. This set instructed us to hold down the reset button for about 10 seconds until the lock moved into the locked position. Again, NOTHING happened except for lots of beeping! We tried it at least 10 times and it never worked. Unfortunately we are a few days outside of the return period, so now the faulty cheap lock is ours to keep! PLEASE don't waste your money on this. We purchased a Kwikset one last night and it works beautifully.

This lock was quick for us to install. It has the option of setting many different passcodes which has come in handy for our family. It is easy to use and I really like the option of also having a key. Some Keyless Locks are completely keyless and we've had them fail in the past which caused issues. This lock also comes with a key in case there is an issue. Which we have not had any with this yet. It has worked correctly 100% of the time so far. We are happy with this purchase.

This is awesome!! I was able to install within like 5 minutes was very easy and works sooo good can’t believe I went with out this products! Goodbye keys!
