The high price tag is a moron tax.
I must applaud the person who is selling this product for his apt deduction of the stupidity of superstitious persons. Just look at the price tag. Just as idiots will buy coloured beans thinking that they're magic, they will as readily buy a piece of decorated cardboard. With practice, you will get results from such a thing, but no more or less than if you painted letters onto hardboard. It isn't spirits, but rather the ideomotor effect, the subsconscious that is moving the planchette and spelling out words. The high price tag can be seen as a moron tax that will do its little bit to help the (probably) American economy. Well done for that, customers.

Total hassle
I purchased this Ouija board after watching an awful show about 'debunking' common ideas and myths. I saw the creators using the board and realized that this is the board of my nightmares. I immediately bought 5 of them to give out as samhain gifts to the other witches in my coven.(we celerate in August because Raven's family always goes to Disney land in October and Enoby Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way's family goes out to Arkansas to visit relatives in September) Before giving them out I decided to take one out for a test drive. I lit my candles and prayed to our dark lords and saviors (My Chemical Romance) and gave a blood offering (it was corn starch and food coloring because My parents wont let me sacrafice animals.) I summoned the spirit of Satan and he ended up posessing me and making me trash my room and text mean things to all of my friends even my crush! Then he made me do a ritual that summoned Cthulu and My coven members and the cutest guy in my school had to team up and destroy him and save the town.

CRYPTIQUE BOARD GAME
I PREFER THE ORIGINAL QUIJA BOARD. JUST THINK HOW LONG AGO THE ORIGINAL WAS CREATED AND THE HISTORY AND STORIES WHICH GO ALONG WITH IT.CRYPTIQUE DID NOT WORK WITH/FOR ME! MAYBE THE SPIRITS WERE OUT TO LUNCH?QUIJA BOARD DID WORK VERY WELL FOR ME, AND HAS PROVEN ITS ACCURACY!

Some important things you should know...
This review contains my views, warnings, safety tips, and other things you should know.In contrast to 'Toy enthusiast from NJ'-Yes bad (evil) spirits can be summoned, as well as the good spirits, as well as spirits who are mischevious and therefor arent neccesarily evil, they just like to have fun in ways u might not appreciate. For example, they move your desk a few inches and rearange the desk, no matter how many times you move it back. (I know somebody who this happens to). These 'games' have nothing at all to do with religion. **Do not play thinking it has anything to do with Satan, or with a negative attitude, or you run the risk of attracting negative spirits as well.**I recommend sprinkling some 'black salt' lightly around the board in a circle before beginning. This helps keep the unwanted, negative spirits away. Attracting a negative spirit to the board can be very disturbing and dangerous. The board itself cannot be haunted or carry any negative energy even if it was used for contact with a negative spirit...it is just a board with writing on it. A tool.**IF AT ANY TIME during usage of the board you suddently feel cold, or threatened, it is a good idea to stop using the board immediately and would probably be best to not use it for the rest of the day. These are signs of an evil spirit!!**Do not play in a dark room. I have heard it is not a good idea. Besides, it freaks people out.y!Moving furnature isnt always necessarly a sign of an evil spirit, the spirit may be a mischevious one. Perhaps just having alittle fun. If it becomes too much or dangerous, ofcourse, say good-bye and stop.Over all, this game is NOT completely safe. You DO run the risk of inviting a BAD spirit into your home. Even if it might not happen for many, many times you use it.If you would rather not run the risk of your house becoming haunted by a negative spirit, then A. Dont use it in your home. B. Dont use it at all. Or C. Use it at someone elses house (hehe just kidding, thats probably not nice.) **Only use it indoors, so Ive been told. And dont be crazy and use it at a graveyard! While I dont know what would happen, Im sure it would be scary and dangerous. Besides the fact your surrounded many many corpses. Too many spirits are lingering there. I would never do that, especially in the night.**I hope this helps. Be carefull!! Oh, and I dont believe in satan, and if you do then you should realize that if there is a satan, you are just giving it power by doing so.Oh, and to 'A Toy enthusiast from NJ', dont capitalize the word 'satan' like you would 'God'. I wouldnt think you, who has such surprisingly offensive insults to that which you do not know of, would give enough privilage to capitalize the word satan as that you would do when writing about Him, God.

Fantastic!
Kudos to Cryptique for this inspiring product! The letters and iconography are tasteful, and light years away from the crude carnival fare that most Spirit boards feature. Truly, such evocative imagery (the swirling background) and language ("yea/nay") cannot help but conjure up some powerful Magick. However, any tool to contact the spirit world must be used with caution. Be sure to cast Black Ward on all your creatures before using (unless, obviously, they already have protection from Black). The only trouble is that doing this will require White Mana, so it won't fit into your Black deck. But after all, no product is perfect!

Captain Howdy Moved...
I used to use another popular board game to talk to my good friend, Captain Howdy. He told me that, these days, choosy spirits choose Cryptique and that if I wanted to keep up our platonic relationship, I would need to change my long distance service, so to speak. So, now I'm using Cryptique! The line is crystal clear and my old friend couldn't be happier that I've tapped into this new network. I used to be one of those teens who lived on the phone. My parents are just overjoyed that their line is freed up and my conversations don't make much noise!

MOST THESE REVIEWS ARE FAKE!!!
These are some of the most laughably phoney reviews I've ever read on a product made up by the makers of the product. With the exception of a few of the lower rating reviews, almost 95 percent of the reviews shown here for this product are obviously fake.

If you really want a Spirit Board of Substance
Bob's work is a fantastic alternative to the Parker Brothers Black & Brown mass-produced spirit board set, however if you want a real top of the line wooden board look to Portals To The Beyond.com they make boards of wood like those of the early 1900's but in full color with wild themes like; "Charmed Triquetra", "The Crone Star Theban Witch", "The Voodoo Tiki" and Kipling West Halloween designs. There is no better.
