Holy Bible Text Edition NLT (2013-09-01) Paperback

This translation is easily more readable (and understandable) than NIV, NRSV, or NKJV, and with the easily adjustable font size and fully formattable page shape and style you get with the kindle fire hd, this e-version of the Bible has brought the Word of God to life for me in a way that for some reason the paper versions I've had never did.I have always found printed Bibles difficult to read because of the size and bulk of the book, and the tiny size of the print, making study quite often an awkward and physically uncomfortable exercise. I read the Bible almost exclusively on my kindle now, and this is the version I primarily use.The built in kindle function which offers automatic definitions for any unusual words has been priceless, as has the ability to create notes and highlights which do not in anyway disrupt or ruin the text, nor clutter up the page in any way (being accessed through small links).A brilliant buy all round.

What a change for me from iPad to Kindle and to try and find a Bible I have liked for a long time and to be able to highlight and add notes. I am getting used to it and is great for what I needed

This Bible is so easy to read and understand the meanings. You are given an explanation of how they arrived at certain translations if they think there maybe some confusion.They have provided subject headings as reference points at the beginning, i.e. What the Bible says about Abortion or other topics, you then just tap the blue type and you are taken straight there (No thumbing through the pages for ages to find what you want).They explain there methodology and I knew as soon as I started reading this version of the Holy Bible, it was the one for me.I highly recommend it for casual readers or scholars alike and nobody can say its too expensive, plus no delivery hassle. Wonderful bible, love it! Got this as an app on my new hudl...fab! Will make all the difference - can read it when I'm out n about now, and it's so easy to read - really makes it clear what's said - in context, 'normal language' and no 'thee's n 'thou's to contend with!

I know it isn't the KJV or even the NKJV but this NLT version is actually very good when it comes to adding better understanding and clarity to Paul's writings. I've struggled with the way Paul explains deeper teachings since I first believed back in the 80's.This is a great edition to my KJV, NKJV and NIV versions. The more you understand, the better, as long as truth isn't compromised.

This was a first move from using a NIV bible in hard copy format so as a first "Kindle" bible I have to say once you get used to the navigation its not too bad. I love its written style of language.My only disappointment is that you cannot highlight and store text easily for study later. Although it could be because I have not learnt all of its features yet, but its seems to be a lot of faffing about.Overall though a great book and well priced.

I have more than one version of the bible and had been given this version on loan from a friend .I was impressed and decided to buy my own copy which has proved to be useful in our Bible study group at church.The translation has been useful, too, for explanationof some of the passages causing some problems from other versions.

The NLT is a beating translation, easy to understand for new generations. The design is awesome, with hyperlinks everywhere, easy to reference and find any book, chapter and verse. The publisher put a lot of effort reviewing and editing the Bible in this format. One of the best editions for Kindle users.

Easy to understand the word of God 🙏

No translation is perfect, but this is my favourite because it is fairly consistent and reliable (in my non-professional theological view). I compare it constantly with other translations in my YouVersion app.

Ich besitze viele Bibeln und merke jedoch immer mehr das die englischen Übersetzungen häufig sehr viel griffiger und näher am Urtext sind. Ganz besonders genial finde ich hier das Stichwortverzeichniss mit denen man schnell die wesentlichen Verse zu verschiedenen Themen nachschlagen kann.Von mir gibt es daher eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
