Great beekeeping starter kit. Good stuff to have.

I bought this kit because our old smoker was falling apart. I'll try fixing the old one to use as backup; the smoker in this kit seems to be of good enough quality and it definitely works well - the bellows blow much better than the yellow plastic version of the old one (which hopefully gorilla tape can keep the cracked plastic together for some more time). For the price of the kit, which is only slightly more than a smoker alone, we got a number of very useful accoutrements - I had never used a J-hook tool and let me tell you, that's a game changer for plucking a frame out - fantastic tool. The other standard hive tool may be useful in the future, we already have two (there's two of us doing the bee work) but having a spare can't hurt in case we lose one. The tote is cute but I wouldn't use it for bee work, it would get gross fast. It may be useful as a garden tools bag.

All the tools you need to get started bee keeping. All the items are well made and easy to use. Very impressed.

do you need all 9 tools? maybe, if you are doing things right. but for me the frame tool and the smoker were the heros of the set and worth the price. i figure if i need the other tools i will find out later.

Everything seems well made. Reasonable priced. A great starter kit.
