Finally - thoroughly credible character, story lines, and not a SEAL in sight!
I had all but despaired of finding an author who could give the kind of read that I had associated with the best works of Gerald Seymour, or Nelson de Mille (John Corey anyone) until I encountered this series. And thankfully not a SEAL/special forces/superman lead character in sight (the staple of the lazy writer's cop-out for attempting to explain the superlative skills of their hero). Instead we have very plausible scenarios, intelligent action-character development, and pacing that suits the story's themes and nature. A good read (I'm on my third - something I've not done since following the wry John Correy across de Mille's books) and one that doesn't insult the reader's intelligence. I'd start with Red Station as it sets the characters nicely in place but so far I've had the pleasure of a few hour's entertainment at a good price. Keep going with the good stuff, Magson.

Harry Tate getting better all all the time
I enjoy English spy thrillers. Harry Tate is back in Briton from his exploits in Red Station in a country bordering Russia. Now however he is no longer is working for the British spy services after being cast out under dubious circumstances. He is taking odd jobs tracking people but then trouble erupts when whomever he finds is quietly killed and it is covered up. Only certain entities with money, manpower, and authority can do this and Harry starts to realize he is being used for what ends he does not clearly see. And he wants out of this with his life and possible future with his past employer. Nothing is what it seems, and you can't predict what comes next. Exciting, characters well drawn out, and plot very very believable. And maybe just maybe Harry can get back in.

Another Winner in the Harry Tate Series
Harry Tate has now been retired from his MI 5 position and is working in the private sector with his fellow ex-MI 5 agent Rik Ferris, the premier hacker/computer geek, tracking down missing persons. As Harry and Rik are tasked to find a missing banker and other absconders, a deadly twist is encountered as the "newly found" are murdered. This is a fun read which will keep your interest. Another good book in the Harry Tate series. Highly recommended.

Good read
A middle east posting. British special forces along with the Americans. Then a couple of ex government agents in London tracking some wanted persons of interest. And how it was all tied together.

The Followers
This book I could put down without the feeling I was missing something. Harry and his partner were now working for a private concern instead of MI6, so it was believed, or were they. It seemed that everyone they followed and reported on ended up missing or killed. Action was slow coming but it did happen right up to the crescendo at the end. Recommend.

Read them in sequence and enjoy!
Amazon convinced me to buy Execution in this series and I was hooked. A definite high quality series of thrillers with believable plots and well developed characters. The portrayal of Harry is particularly good, he is believable and real as are the other players in all of the books. A very enjoyable series and great fun to find out this author has written many more books.

Stil lacking 'umph'
Still a fair read, but like the first, it lacked an ability to get me riveted to the story, seeming to have no rhyme or reason at times. Some of the actions characters took did not sit true with the story/character themselves which frustrated me. I was able to keep reading the book to the end, but ... I don't think I'll be reading the 3rd Harry Tate book. Good luck to Adrian Magson.

Guess who done it?
yep, this is the second one i raced thru - thank goodness I had some time on my hans. Surprise ending, bit by bit revealed, good, believable characters including the veteran, hard nosed and insightful hero. Go for it.

I think I'm hooked.
There were times when I almost put this book aside but I read on and found myself gripped. I like Harry Tate and Rik. I'm a bit disconcerted to see the capable woman turn out to be the deadly enemy again though. Come to think about it, I can't remember any other females apart from the odd waitress. Whatever happened to the florist? Anyway I can't wait to read the next one.

Gritty but very good
An author I am very much enjoying. Here we have Harry Tate having left the Intelligence Service to go free-lance as a "people finder", operating at the edge of the intelligence community. When the people he locates are then killed, Harry suspects there is a bigger agenda and things are not quite adding up.This feels like a proper spy thriller. Real people, distinct personalities and a view of how things operate that feels very realistic. Tate is no super spy and comes over as a solid and capable individual without being unbelievable and that is why these books work so well, realistic people that work in the shadows.

Tracers by Adrian Magson
Once I started to read books by Adrian Magson, I had to read them all. I have enjoyed all of them. They are beautifully written, they demand that you turn the pages, the plots and characters are extremely credible; all are an excellent read.
