General Review / compatibilities
Just arrived. Fits my charger UC18YKSL perfectly, as it does all my cordless (Hitachi / Hikoki )18V items: Impact Driver WH18DGL, Grinder G18DSL, Drill DV18DGL and cleaner R18DSL. Hopefully the above clarifies compatibilities.

INCORRECT BATTERY FOR MY DRILL?
i BOUGHT A HITACHI BATTERY REF BSL130 FR5OM AMAZON ASSUMING IT TO BE INTERCHAMGEABLE WITH A BSL1815. HOWEVER WHEN CONNECTED TO THE CHARGER THE GREEN LIGHT FAILS TO SHOW AT ALL INDICATING A FAULT SOMEWHERE. PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY IT IS NOT INDICATING A CORRECT FULLY CHARGED LIGHT (GREEN) AND AM I CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE NEW BATTERY OR CHARGER BY ATTEMPTING TO CONNECT IT?

Works find with Hitachi
My Hitachi drill only had the original battery 1500 mah that I have been using for years, I bought a Hitachi saw that had the same battery. I did get stuck on a few jobs where the battery ran out and I didn't have a spare and the charger was not with me. I looked at battery prices and they were almost as much as the tool. After the last struggle, I decided to get a battery. I found this one and looking through the reviews I wasn't sure but I thought I would give it a go. I am pleased so far, only used on 2 jobs but both would have exhausted my original small battery, this batter has done both with change remaining so I am very pleased. I like the button to show the charge remaining.

Fits drill but......,
Bought to replace battery on my Hitachi drill. Fits drill ok but would not work on my Hitachi charger (I have 2 genuine batteries 1.5ah that work ok with the charger). So I bought a charger from the same manufacturer as the battery but that doesn't work either,but that's another story.

Will not fit original Hitachi charger
This battery worked in the drill, but does not fit the original Hitachi charger. So impossible to charge without the purchase of another specific charger. I do not want two chargers, one for each battery.
